The only way I found so far is through the NHK+ website. You'll need a VPN and google translate to translate everything in the page so you'll know what to do lol You can register to the website for free with just an email and a password (it will ask to put name and address too if you wanna keep watching for more than a month, but since the show ends in a month, it won't be necessary!)
If you need subtitles, the player has japanese ones and there's an option to place them outside the frame, if you do that and have google translate to automatically translate your page, it will translate them in english(or whatever other language you have chosen)...it's still google translate so no perfect but well, if you're desperate like I was that solution will be enough lmao

by live voting, do they mean the people who are watching in the arena or the general public? bc if 80% of the vote is from the people who are seeing it live, that is extremely unfair. millions of people around the world watch this show, but the final decision is coming down to a few hundred people who had the opportunity to be there in person.
