This drama caught my attention immediately so I binged watch. It has a sound cast and, touching performance by FL, still not convinced by ML but it is OK. If you can stand the bit of horror scenes, I highly recommend it.

I think because Han So Hee (FL) performance is so heartfelt is in contrast with Seo Joon (ML) at moments robotic acting, this makes me feel that the CP is not firing enough it is adequate but that's all. Having said that, I am also looking forward to see that relationship develop further. I think it has potential.

This is a gripping drama from the beginning to the end. Based on terrible historical facts that serve as a framework. Some of the scenes are horrifying, so it is not for the faint-hearted. Sound performances from all the cast. Han So Hee (FL) is in fine form here delivering a powerful emotional performance and lots of action. I am relieved as I do not always like her performances. She was very convincing in My Name but awful in Nevertheless, though in that drama the script was so poor and the CP a miscast. The quality of this drama is superior instead. His pairing with Seo Joon (ML) is ok, and Seo Joon is ok too but that's all. His performance always reminds me he was in What's wrong with Secretrary Kim, and that's is a downside for me. He was great in that romcom, but this is a different character so it should be portrayed accordingly.

A very poor women's role/value here, and no chemistry between the CP. Very forced narrative I truly disliked this series.

I hope it is not a Romeo & Juliet ending because at the moment it looks very much like this with the groom drinking poison and the bride killing herself thinking of his groom's death. I really hope you are right and it is a happy ending.

Maybe it is worthy mentioning here (as I am reading comparisons with My Journey to you) that Cecilia Liu who is playing Ruyi is a major star. She was a professionally trained dancer before becoming an actor. She has so much experience and serious awards. She is in another league to Esther Yu playing the assassin in My Journey to You. Liu Yu Ning was so lucky to be paired with her. A great partner makes the other one shine and vice-versa. This is what is happening here and the actors are similar in age too which helps a lot in looks and how they approach their roles. The casting of this series, Journey to Love was amazing. Not only Cecilia and Yu Ning were perfect together but also the secondary actors were excellent Starting with Alen Feng who is a main lead in other series, lovely pairing with Amy (Chen Yue Princess) . Chang Hua Sen playing the Marquis impressed me the most as I did not know him at all. These are just examples because all the cast were such sound actors.

I don't think they did. I could not find any photoshoot maybe I miss it, I follow the Harpers B account in Weibo. I know there was a special edition with the other CP and like a dozens of post about them. Well I was so no interested in the main CP and I am not even a fan of the actors of the second CP, I did not know who they were until that point and I was so grateful they rescued the drama as other people said here

NZY saved the "magic pill" that was given to him by his teammate and we never saw them dead when they were major heroes. So even if the boy was not real, Chen Yue believed that they were both alive somewhere.

All the gang of friends died, though it is hinted that ML survived with Ruyi a had two children but we are never shown their happy ending. so let's say it is a kind of happy ending for the main CP. I hate sad endings but this series is so worthy to be watched that I highly recommend it.

The only worthy episodes of My Journey to You were those moments showing the romance of Chen Lui and Lu Xi Xao characters (secondary couple) I fast-forwarded to their parts. They were thrilling to watch despite we were never shown not even a kiss though they became lovers. With reason, Harpers Bazaar only called them for a special photoshoot as CP.

Agree there were flaws in the storyline, I guess for the directors the episode when they discovered the edict written in the Wu flag was enough to tick that box. I also don't like unnecessary melodrama. Q trying to kill the Emperor for the death of his younger brother is stupid, they were L Hall where they risked their life all the time they could die at any moment. That was a total disrespect to anybody who risked their life to rescue the Emperor. Another point is Lu Shi Shan refusal to give a hug to Chen Yue (princess) or get together with her some way when He really liked her in a special way it is also an exaggerated point. Leaked photos from the scenes hinted that directors changed their mind about this couple and gave them a sad ending for the sake of it. Having said that I still think this is an excellent series that I highly recommend people to watch.
