What I love from the series is that they give us an intense passionate gay love storyline. SuHe and ZiAng were exclusive and loyal to each other. Even when ShuHe has given up on ZiAng he still could not take him away from his head, his heart and his bed. The live series is an independent artistic expression from the narrative, even the names of the characters were changed to avoid direct reference to the novel.

Are these the historical people? Ancient China has really a dark history. The real ones did not have a gay affair.

Now they traveled to Chengdu* for CP activities. Wishing them the best. The second product which they endorsed is selling well. They have a live on the 16 Nov with them. That is the big question! - Seasons have passed in the series. ShuHe and ZiAng were lovers, living together for 3 months. So they started in one season and finished in another one. I say they become lovers in Autumn and separate in Winter. Autumn is a mixed season. However, in the series we are shown trees in blossoms at different moments. We have to assume that there are tree varieties that flower in Autumn/Winter. It is all linked to moods, symbolism and representations, so I guess the director/script writers gave themselves a bit of freedom. at this level.

Worthy to watch - Friends if you have a RedNote account this edited video is really good. It is all based on the series and for me represent so well how sensual the relationship between ZiAng and ShuHe was portrayed. Kudos, first of all to the director/editor/cinematographer that give those moments "shape" to be seen, and give them the right pace. Sound camera work in this series. Of course, ZheXu and Mi Jin amazing performance and chemistry. Best kissers in the Chinese industry - I can tell this because I watch Chinese dramas in the hundreds!-. To sum up, those moments that make our hearts flutter are very much a team work. (not to put any series down but ABO is a good example of how a non-professional direction/editing/camera work can undermine the effort of the actors in the romantic scenes). Here is the link:

So well expressed Kacee, as River said you are not alone in feeling this way. A poet said to me long time ago in relation to another poet's work: these are poems that I would greatly miss in life if I would have not read them. I feel the same with this series. It is an amazing piece of work.
