this could've been amazing if the " Serial killer " who was supposed to only be killing for revenge was really killing for revenge but he wasn't it was all for fun , his choice of victims says it all ... 8/10 .. really my disappointment with this is still vivid , insane

no he was good to her and gentle with her , he helped her , he was kind and there was attraction between him and her .. she chose to be bold beecause at some point she knew her had a thing for her , she just didn't know why he was holding back his feelings and i guess she didn't want to let something real between them go , but if you keep watching she stops making excuses for him , and shuns him horribly after a while , and goes back to her ex after he apologizes and gives him a chance to make amends there's more i can't spoil

i didn't watch the other dramas but i've only ever heard praise this is the first someone disses them this badly so it does come as a surprise

The female was not a doormat , she was brave and beautifully out there ... i agree she was too out there but despite the pain she went through she was still brave to believe in love one more time .. besides he had to push her away at first because of his guilt but she is not a doormat because he doesn't get away with it .. she doesn't let go of her pride or what she deserves easily

now i have a feeling that you just read reviews and never even watched to begin with lol ....... you keep dissing the show because you hate these things about it, you mention misogyny wow you're taking it far , this show is not misogynist it's just a complex love story with flawed human beings , beside don't call the actor ugly , it seems that that's your issue but eric mun has never been considered ugly , he's handsome respected and very good expressive actor in korea , it's completely understandable if he's not your cup of tea but this is just you being disrespectful also don't bring misogyny into dramas if i were to think like that i wouldn't even watch , i barely stand men in real life so i watch my dramas to escape and misogyny can be smelt and spotted from miles away and it's non existent here, or maybe you hate the writer and is critical of her every move so maybe that's why .. though i haven't seen the other dramas but she's written some of the most loved shows like my mister and my liberation notes ( no one says that about her shows , everyone love them) .. and she doesn't pick the actors alone there's a director and a production team who participate in the decision making this guy writes and directs strong female leads , and pairs them with good versatile actors it's not just about looks it's about talent and who fits the role the most , who has the best auditions and who is genuinely deserving , the kdrama industry only relied on looks then everything would flop . but also since the director helps with that are you also gonna call them a misogynist .. but to break to you, a misogynist director wouldn't direct a story where the female lead is the king in a historical drama ( the king's affection ) allowing park eun bin to give one of her best performances and the best disguises as man and be a greatly powerful king but no you just have to give your hate for a show and the actor and writer such big word to justify that you've got no other real reason to dislike it lol but we can see through that btw

gurl i'm trying to explain to you the thought process , that it wasn't an intention .. you're the one who's too biased to be objective after all this ... you need to see what happens to him even after all that , he does his share of suffering and shunning from the FL for a long while .. no one else is punished cruelly , the second male simply suffered the consequences of his horrible and hurtful choice , that's it .. he could've chosen differently .. he could've chose to marry her go to jail ask her to wait , (she would've , he was her husband to be )and overcome it together but he did not , no the better option was to ruin her like that socially and emotionally and her pride push down the drain for his pride not to take a hit .. he's such a horrible pick i can't believe you're siding with him .. do kyung can be a jerk and push her away ( only because of his guilt ) but he loved her so much selflessly from the start if he was selfish he wouldn't have felt guilt , he would've have not suffered

i think the directors handled the direction wrong , delaying the plot twist of the truth from the viewers sets the stage for the ml to be the jerk you think he is but had the directors showed us what really happened early on , we would've spent the whole time watching him suffer feeling horribly sad and bad for how much toll it took on him and that's how i felt after the plot twist and then later rewatching with the newer perspective
you need to watch to see the real truth behind it , in fact said " jerk" thought he was the reason too but he wasn't lol it was laughable to think he did all the emotional suffering thinking her ruined her life and hurt her and it wasn't really even his fault to begin with.
after that i rewatched it again and saw how heavy it was for him when it wasn't even for him to hold , he was nothing but a good man whose burden with guilt and fault over something that only he thought was his fault ... again i will say the 2ml didn't have to do it like that , it was all because of his pride and cowardice and in fact his selfishness , it all says that he loves himself more than he loved her , the only one who handles her emotional devastation should be him and him alone
... i don't wanna spoil the fantasy parts but he does something so horrible to the ml in the visions which i also can't spoil but thankfully doesn't happen after the truth comes out , probably very vague and not understandable but you never got to understand the visions the ml was having too .. so that's an obstacle in my explanation ..
