This drama is just pure wholesome slice of life with these youths. Learning how to make friends, having fun making memories, getting into a little trouble maybe even rebelling sometimes, little ray of light among all the dramas out right now lol These are the moments that sets the foundation for their present day self we will be seeing soon. IQIYI released the new posters and we see it split into three versions of the characters basically walking into adulthood.

Tian said in an older live stream where she talked about what attracted her to the character and it was the sense of loneliness. We see each of their characters have a sense of loneliness in their backstory especially with their parents.. which I think a lot of teens feel a disconnect with them at some stage in their lives. I see ppl want more romance but again it’s a youth/coming of age type drama. While there are romance it’s not all encompassing of the drama

I’ve seen people on here and other platform talking about too much school setting, filler, etc. but Tian Xiwei’s initial intention on taking this project is bc of this school time period. In the recent livestream she says:

“I hope I can give a little bit of strength to the kids who are facing problems with relationships with others, difficulties, or worries in life and school. If this work can create a positive influence on everyone, even just a little, I truly feel that what I've done has a lot of meaning.

Because during the period when kids are growing up, it's the time when their sense of self is gradually being shaped. Sometimes they may face emotional harm from friends or others, or even unfriendly looks, to the point where they might feel just like Lin Zhixia—confused and heartbroken.”

She was also asked for word of encouragement for kids going into their adolescence. She says:

“I want to say to all the friends who are going through adolescence "there is no standard answer, there really isn’t" I want to tell parents, please don’t compare your own children with other people’s children, because every child is different. If we think of children as stars in the sky, each of them has their own unique way of shining. Only then can the entire night sky become truly beautiful and to those children who feel lonely or defeated, I want to say that walking alone is okay too. If you haven’t found friends yet, I still hope you can hold on to the purity and sincerity within your heart. I believe that you can walk your own path by yourself and along the way, you may also meet people who share the same frequency and understand you.”

I think Jin baihui is a perfect example of the pressure students in China has when it comes to education. I don’t know about anywhere else but in the U.S. specifically where I live we don’t have self study classes. You see kids in China from morning to night at school bc they have multiple self study classes. Whereas where I live we make our own study schedule outside of school hours

There’s a fandom war bc apparently Yan An name was erased from the equal billing list against TXW?? Netizens…
It is female centric drama and she’s playing two roles so she’ll have larger screen time than normal female centric dramas. Ppl can’t even say false advertisement bc the teaser trailer was mainly her and we got little sneak peek of him and it was in context to her. I remember another drama where the actor was listed as main lead and when they watched the drama he was barely in it… or at least not enough to be listed as main lead. So do his fans want equal billing or at least a lead billing and then get disappointed that he didn’t get enough screen time

hey guys, quick question. I really like a couple of the dramas from the female lead and want to continue watching…
It’s a youth/coming of age type of drama. We see he FL struggle to interact with her classmates, and establish relationships whether that’s friendship, sibling relationship and of course romantic relationship. We get a little backstory in all the characters and see their growth, not just the main leads. It’s very much an ensemble cast, slice of life drama. So it’s just depends if it’s your type of drama. It is than it’s worth checking out. I know for some they aren’t interest in youth drama so they find it boring

Y’all fight over chemistry this and chemistry that lol it’s a youth coming of age and we see the FL creating relationships with everyone lol

Anyways, episodes 7-8 was fun. It established the friend group creating friendships that will support each other going forward. We got sibling dynamics and they cleared up the misunderstanding and established a bond outside of the house for more interactions going forward 👏🏼

I absolutely adore the sibling dynamic in the novel and to see it adapted well in the drama ❤️ also yubai crazy imagination and his interpretation of her acting over the top coquettish reminds me of Xu Xai saying Tian Xiwei looks crazy when she tries to act cute 😂

&& we got two Moonlit Reunion cast members in this drama! Of course Lai Weiming our second male lead and Zhou Zhan who plays the older brothers classmate who tries to recruit our Lin Zhixia to astronomy club

With a genius like her, I would have expected her to skip a couple of grades. I thought that is usually the case…
In the novel she continuously skips grade. The lady the FL met at the aquarium happens later in the novel and she ends up working in research group at university but in the drama it looks like it was just a little moment when she was younger and never interacted again

Maybe because I've seen alot of these second meet, dramas. My first reaction whem they started showing the past…
The novel is majority of them as kids and we didn’t get university/grown up them until the end so be lucky it is adapted this way lol when this drama was picked up to be adapted I was wondering how they were gonna do it.

Is there gonna be love triangle involving SML ?
Can it be a love triangle if the girl is oblivious as the two guys fight for attention? lol

I remember seeing someone saying how is she a genius but not get 1st place. The judges explained it perfectly and so did Jiang yubai. Her self reflection and awareness 👏🏼 One of the main faults of a lot of geniuses

My heart broke for her 🥺

“..but he’s also my good friend”
“… right now I don’t see a friend— I see my rival”

The novel is smooth sailing for her and her conflicts are shallow. The adaptation gives her character growth. I liked Tingting telling her time will filter out the fake friends. Also in the novel I think the rivalry was just for test scores and when he couldn’t beat her he pivoted to keeping up with her academically

I don’t know what people are saying or if we are watching the same drama but I can see the chemistry between…
Yup. It’s slow and quiet. In the novel the ML doesn’t even realize he liked her until she goes off to university and she’s oblivious to it. In the drama you can see there is chemistry between them early.

Does fl brother have any love interest ?
I don’t mind the change in jang yubai’s background. The novel was monotonous in just her moving up in education and him following along. Which is fine for reading but will come out boring for a drama even for a slice of life drama and this is a youth/coming of age type drama.

I read the novel a while back and I personally think that so far it’s adapted well. I was wondering how it was gonna go bc half or more of the novel is just them as kids and it’s just all classroom competition between two classrooms and stiff and her moving up in grade levels. The novel is cute but flat. This so far has given the characters more depth and emotional complexity. Lin Zhixia definitely has a higher EQ in the drama compared to the novel.

He appeared on her variety show and they were paired together the last two episodes
Mangotv. It’s called crazy treasure hunt season 2. If you don’t have mangotv, they have a YouTube channel that uploads the episodes. Episode 5 & 6 I think are up and they also have other videos of clips with the two of them

I watched the trailer and the ML didn’t seem the sunny type of character mentioned in the synopsis, neither…
The female lead isn’t introverted. She a girl with high IQ and low EQ. She has this strong logical systematic mind and reasoning but struggles to manage, recognize or empathize with emotions. My best companion is the tv show Young Sheldon… even the relationship with his sibling is like the character siblings in this drama
