I saw some complaining about the last few episodes as fillers. Those episodes are integral in understanding who these upcoming villains such as the Sui brothers like qi min = sui yuanhuai, and the upcoming sui yuanqing, and what they have been planning, etc.
Does anyone know the meaning of the line in ep 14 that Yan Zheng said to Song Yan, "How do you know that when…
Insulting Song Yan because he says he’s a disgrace to scholars. Yan Zheng says, “Scholar? Are you worthy of that word?”. Song Yan an ordinary geese who can’t even recognize exceptional people (phoenix) around him. Yan Zheng telling Song Yan just because he studied a bit and now he looks down on everyone. Just because ordinary people are moving around doesn’t mean truly great people won’t still have their place.
I mentioned before big change from the novel is focusing on building the relationship while Yan Zheng is still in the town. With an adaptation having a time limit, it was good on the screenwriter changing that so that the connection is well established before the coupe separated so that ppl are still invested in them and their reunion.
Another big change I noticed before and continuing now is Li Huai A playing multiple roles in the adaptation. The first was in the novel General He had a devoted right hand man that was sent to watch over the Fan girls instead it’s now Lord Li.
In the novel Yu Qian Qian was sabotaged and forced to closed her restaurant. In the adaptation Qi Min is introduced early and he pays for the restaurant for 10 day.
The screenwriter is doing a great job at staying true to the novel but yet rearranging things to condense and help move things along faster. Also I think the screenwriter is doing well at weaving these side couples story into the main story bc the novel felt like separate stories in the story… if that makes sense lol

I’m trying to find a drama and I’m 99% sure he’s the ML in it. It’s one of those swapped daughter and she returns to her family. The FL has multiple identities and she saved the ML from an injury. E goes to her family intending to cancel an engagement only to find it’s the girl who saved him.
I think the english title shown now (Transfer Gold Hairpin) is a misinterpretation of the real chinese title.…
The original English title was actually Marrying the Golden Hairpin. Which was what you interpreted… if they translated the second part to Marrying the virtuous lady. I think the English title is the best interpretation of the title. The synopsis changed: In the novel Lou Zhuo arranged to marry Xie Hualou. Since he was in a coma she didn’t marry and ML grandma sought Wei Rao. In the adaptation same thing but instead of Xie Hualou the Wei Rao look alike takes place. So two Wei Rao lookalike (one fake and one real). The switching of the two to marry the ML can be considered a transfer of the bride. The adaptation change focus on the two girls, the married/wed part isn’t needed. So Transfer of the virtuous lady… or Transfer Golden Hairpin.
Tian Xiwei getting close to wrapping of Genius Girlfriend and we get more information! So it’s supposed to start in December maybe mid December and lasting four months. I’m excited about Yanan and looks to be the one. Yanan and a few other rumored have similar looks of small face, strong and sharp features so they definitely have an image in mind for Ml
Do Chinese drama scriptwriters hate people having normal, loving families? Why did they changed the plot to true…
I’m personally okay with the changes. In the book the public’s perception and who Fl really opens the way for changes of it being two different person. The book was boring and the ML for majority of the book wronged her at every turn and made the ML so unlikable.
This looks to be the synopsis for the adaptation.https://x.com/jannieay05/status/1964397803570131291?s=46&t=Oo6X9gq0dGodQEIjkdrOOgThe…
Boring. Did not like the ML at all. After marriage the first 100 chapters is of ML misunderstanding the FL at every turn wronged her unfairly because of his prejudice. She finally divorces him and it’s when he find out he really likes her 🙄 (other subplots thrown in as well) and a bunch more chapters of him trying to win her back… and he does win her back. The rest of the chapters maybe 60 where she follows him on military campaign, she becomes pregnant and having daughter. He goes missing and presumed dead. He comes back three years to see her meeting suitors. The changes in the adaptation seems to give it more life and intrigue so hopefully more engaging.

Looking at the synopsis for the adaptation they changed everything from the novel. At least from the synopsis they kept his disdain for her and her marrying him for good luck to wake up
The synopsis for the novel: “Wei Rao, the beauty without a good reputation from the Cheng'an Marquisate, proposed three conditions before marrying Lu Zhuo for good luck: A dowry of one hundred thousand taels; If Lu Zhuo dies, Wei Rao will take nothing; If Lu Zhuo lives, they cannot divorce or repudiate each other within five years. Upon waking up, Lu Zhuo learns of this and laughs it off. Wei Rao's behavior is frivolous, with a seductive and dangerous appearance, making her unsuitable as a virtuous wife. Bound by the agreement, he won't repudiate her, but Wei Rao can forget about receiving any favor from him. Later, Lu Zhuo is injured on the battlefield and trapped in a foreign country. When he returns to the capital, he discovers that everyone believes he is dead. His longed-for wife, whom he misses day and night, has surprisingly returned to her parents' home with their daughter, and it is said that she is planning to find a new father for their daughter.”
Seeing the emotional final scene and wanting txw in more dramatic role BUT seeing the bts of it and it taking her awhile to get out of the emotion with the staff consoling her. It’d beep too draining for her if she ever did a heavy dramatic role https://x.com/xixiopxoxo/status/1963458035612815441?s=46&t=Oo6X9gq0dGodQEIjkdrOOg
What I love about txw is when she’s playing a cute and adorable character she’s acting cute and adorable without being cutesy… if that makes sense. I’ve seen ppl say the cute and adorable roles don’t fit her and I’m thinking they want that cutesy over the top baby voice. Memory loss Wu Zhen is adorable and txw is a natural
