Ep 19 is again disappointing. And people will say haters are going to hate. The prodigy uses a sword and not magic…
If you watched the episode, the evil cousin lured him into a trap be killed. Arrived and saw the carriage, opened the window and hit with the scent inhaling it. When up against what evil benefactor he tried to use his power and realized that the scent suppressed it. He literally thought it so we see the text of his thought lol
I said it before that this series was grounded and subtle that you really have to watch bc it he development and movements aren’t over the top in your face.
I always see people asking for heat index, current at 26,617. For future reference, if you want to see the heat index. Click on Tencent video in the where to watch section. It’ll redirect you to the Tencent page and you can see the heat index
What I LOVE about this series is how grounded it is for its genre. It’s subtle in its develop. It isn’t something that illicit strong emotions where you gush at a moments but rather tugs at your heart. Same with anger or dislike, it isn’t instant but rather a built up if reason to dislike/hate. You see all the characters growth is subtle and not in your face. All that said I can see why some might see it as slow. Pei Ji Ya entrance and character does throw everything I said out the window but I’m okay with it bc it’s shaking everything up 😂 one thing I loved in the novel and still love in the adaptation is the Liu Tai Zhen and the Mei Si and their dynamic
Since this page is for Moonlit Reunion, can we keep the comments to that topic. The actors have their own individual pages where you can discuss and even get more information since it’s dedicated to the actor.
USA viewers. I do not see this as available in my region on wetv or tencent or Viki. I do see it coming August…
Disney bought the license rights so definitely won’t be available anywhere else in the U.S. until the rights expire or they have a deal for first dibs before showing up elsewhere
It ends happy in the novel. The novel is purely daily life with slice of supernatural in between. No conflict,…
They get married in the novel. In the novel he had already seen her before he was arranged to wed so he agreed to it. From there her curiosity about him was piqued so she watched and visited him as a cat often. A bunch of daily life stuff and they they wed.
I'm confused. Is this literally nowhere in the US until August 26???
Probably. Since Disney bought the license to air it on their platform it won’t be shown anywhere else in the U.S. until it expires or if the deal has exclusive airing rights for a certain time frame before it can air elsewhere. I thought it’d air in Viki as well bc it says coming soon for me but someone else in the comments contacted them and said it won’t air in the U.S.
Watched some snippets of this, the plot and chemistry btw the leads looks very captivating, the costumes are gorgeous…
It ends happy in the novel. The novel is purely daily life with slice of supernatural in between. No conflict, no misunderstand, reacted well find out who she and even helping her keep order. So the adaptation changed a lot in that sense so who knows. They better give us a happy ending with all the angst they put us through.
came here to see some comments bcoz I would like to watch this but why is the rating so low? 🥹
If you want you watch it, just watch it. I’m new to Chinese drama and it’s interesting to see people swayed by ratings and public opinions on whether to watch something or not.
I remember ppl saying the FL fighting isn’t seamless. Well, that’s the point. She isn’t trained let along…
Yes she has innate strength. The only skill she has from being a butcher putting brute force hence why shorter knives worked better for her. The only fighting skill she had was some technique her dad taught her. Which later on in camp her father’s old colleague noticed in sparring with her and told her to expand on it cause he easily counter her moves and she didn’t really know anything else. She spars with the ML to practice.
I am enjoying this drama! The coloring, costume, makeup, the world created and all the gorgeous actors. The whole thing is a visual feast. I like the pace but yet still seeing the leads slowly fall for each other… at least really understanding each other.
In the novel no conflict but not sure about the adaptation. Just gonna have to watch and find out. I’m excited though, the changes they made has been good in breaking up the monotonous of the daily life that was in the novel.
