If she acts with xiao zhan the whole weibo will break.
All those things depend on her shitty as agency. Something tells me, if the rumours are true that the contract expires soon, she might choose to be quiet this year with a drama or two, and wait until it expires to really venture out. Her agency have no problem putting her career and wellbeing in the back burner if it means another agency wants to push their artist by way of investment and exposure to pay off their debts. A total shame but I like these events and endorsements because its a way to ensure her brand continues to thrive! I rather she secure the bag, re-shift her focus, and completely strategise ahead than do dead end dramas.
Anywho, it was recently revealed that Zhang had beef with Huasheng Media's CEO over model, Du Juan who appeared…
I don't think we have seen the last of Zhang. It could also mean the newest EIC will have to take more calculative risks and take a different approach because at the forefront is making profit for businesses like Conde Nast. You can't mess with someones bag and not expect it to impact your own and sadly, that's what happened with Zhang. I believe a lot of the covers went unsponsored at Vogue China and since Dior is quite generous with the amount of covers they've sponsored in the past for Reba, I do believe a cover is on the horizon for her. She's done a few spreads for them, a few Vogue Me covers (youth subsidy) but never the actual cover. Otherwise, her team need her to explore outside magazines.
Do yall remember a while back when I mentioned it was weird that Reba never formally got a Vogue cover despite…
Anywho, it was recently revealed that Zhang had beef with Huasheng Media's CEO over model, Du Juan who appeared on the cover of the May issue. However, she appeared on the cover of two competing magazines a month after and for a spring issue, with both publications being under his licensing. This in turn meant that she was ineligible to appear on the May issue. The issue was pulled at the last minute, which resulted in chaos. Replacements were made but the damage was done as Huasheng's CEO was enraged because when your industry is going through a harsh government crackdown on stars, ensuring that stars/models and fans are satisfied is important as well as helping to grow the industry and make profit.
I do appreciate Zhang's curatorial eye and creativity because a lot of her covers were elegant and explorative but I wish she had navigated that space better and maybe we could've seen more of her creativity, her team, and Reba on the cover. Because these two collaborating could've been bold and beautiful!!
Do yall remember a while back when I mentioned it was weird that Reba never formally got a Vogue cover despite having the stock to be on the cover? Well, with the recent news of EIC Margaret Zhang choosing not to renew her contract, it seems a lot of things have been uncovered as to some of the practices. Zhang had a "no compete" rule which was that you can't be on the cover of another fashion magazine 3 months before and one month after appearing on the cover. And if I remember correctly, from 2021 and up until now, Reba was on back-to-back covers or had a cover nearly every month which wouldn't have fit the timeframe if she had been offered or considered. There was also talk that covers are generally offered to "movie" stars, which in this economy, when you HAVE to make money, it would make sense to put someone who had great commercial value especially if that person is also celebrated for their fashion? Like why not have both right?
We are gonna eat so good if any of these melons are true, hope all of them are:1. Dior Jewelry 2. Mecedes3.Jimmy…
I think she already has No.1 or at least did some promo for it but might be a formal announcement. Mercedes would be an interesting choice. No.3 has been around for ages so hopefully this one finally comes true and No.4 might is most likely as Belleame says.
I'm pissed because i just realised that half of the current bio is taken from my bio but they have cut it so rough…
They didn't even acknowledge my submission nor advised that they would be mix and matching shit up. I am appalled by the level of disregard these moderators have for us on here when we are simply requesting something many others have done countless times. It reeks of some dumb sit.
Sure thing, here you go :)
