Tilan's infertility really is cause and effect of the Emperor's instability. But now I am curious, in the cast credits, there's Chu Weiyun who is Haishi and the Emperor's son in the novel, then there's a Crown Prince too. I just wanna know who these sons belong to whom and wanna see how they've change it up here

The writers here just got lazy and decided that we needed flashy scenes after scenes like can we get some quality time between the actual characters. It seems I'm being fed deep scenes between everyone and then, complete utter nonsense next.

Wasn't hating on the other couples, just don't like lazy writing which happens too often with C-dramas or should I say with Tencent dramas. Iqiyi have some quality productions. Oh well, waiting for harem scenes to come! Won't be long anyways.

Rebirth For You honestly gave me allergies at one point. I swear, I have never wanted to fight the FL, villains and support characters all at the same time.

I've seen enough C-dramas to know that there's multiple couples. My frustration is more on the storyline and pacing which has diluted the narrative. The writers have just given us event after event, but no actual fleshing out of the characters within these events. This could've been helped if they gave us influential dialogue between the 3 characters but all we get are repeated scenes of the Emperor shouting at Shifu or Shifu and Haishi going back and forth. A few times is fine, but using the same interactions gets exhausting and weakens any future payoff.

I really don't care about any couples but while the couples are important together, they almost fall apart as stand alone characters. The reason I'm looking forward to the Harem scenes is because that's when I will know this drama is near its end and we finally get to see these character dynamics evolve. Maybe we'll get to see Shifu understand his "need" and "want" in relation to Haishi or maybe the Emperor will begin to realise the fragility of his own existence and value it more because without Shifu, he would not be where he's at, both physically or politically. Until that point, I'm only hanging around for Haishi/Yang Mi.

He is the Jinfeng Pavilion member that is always completing missions for shifu. He's basically an older brother figure to Haishi and Zhuoying.

Exactly! Like how are we meant to understand the complex relationship between Haishi, Shifu and the Emperor if we keep getting damn scenes of everyone else having a relationship. I swear YM is basically carrying this show atm. Haishi deserved better character development than this! Sheesh lousy. I feel like being a WeTV ambassador means they can use your name and face to promote everyone else on their roster.

Tencent are lucky I am waiting for Haishi to be recognised as Empress because I would not have stayed this long for all this angst, minimal screen time for YM or toxic love stories. At this point, just give me more scenes of Shaozi running around and completing missions lol

And I am no longer watching these damn trailers, always leading my weak heart astray.
