I too, had the misfortune of viewing a few episodes and by a few, I mean up until ep.15 when I couldn't take anymore of JJY's acting and the overdone styling of the FL. It happens. The first time I saw the ep and the later eps I was like thinking the same thing. What would an older gentlemen have in common with a burgeoning young imperial guard but then i re-watched and it made sense. Makes the friendship with Haishi all the more legitimate
