It was good while it lasted.- FL quickly turns into dumb and stupid- ML turns into SimpI understand the trope…
Thank goodness I read this because I knew I dropped it for a reason. I watched the first episode and quickly felt I had seen the plot line a thousand times.
The actress is incredibly talented yet is always riddled with shitty scripts so I feel bad for her. But this bloody trope of innocent and adorable female lead taming the cold and stoic hero is so tried and tired. She is nothing more than a moral catalyst for his heroic deeds.
There are c-dramas with incredibly complex and nuanced characters both female and male characters like Nirvana on Fire, The Story of Ming Lan, The Story of Yanxi Palace etc but this is definitely not one of them. The producers and writers know they have a formula that has literally propelled some shows into stardom but they really need to experiment more.
Peng Xiaoran is nailing her role atm. She's an absolute natural. Despite her small screen time so far, Du Ya Fei has really captured the essence of his character. I like that he cares deeply for the Princess yet had to pretend that on the surface, he is cruel and only works for the interests of the Emperor.
I am not crazy about the male lead and the way they've characterised him. He comes across annoying rather playful but I guess it's because of the way Jin Han's playing him. Hopefully, we get to see more character development later on.
You’re not the only one. Here, let me throw you a virtual hug. 😭
You too! We love an avid supporter! I support anything with my Queen Dilraba in it! But I am equally critical if a drama isn't up to par so I was happy this one was a breath of fresh air! We wanted a grown up, realistic and mature relationship on screen and we got it! People kept saying it was too slow, too depressive blah blah and I was like sis, this is what adulting is like for some people. We are no longer children and the pace changes when we have evolving perspectives and responsibilities.
Honestly, this is the kind of content we need from our script writers and producers not the endless sneaky hoes who show up to ruin the parade in designer heels!

Thanks sweetie! These two really set the whole show on fire. Their chemistry, the script and production was everything we need in a fluffy C-drama! Arggh I love that these those toxic ex's were farewelled from the beginning of the drama so we could Stan our couple from the get go!
Congrats to Reba and TLB team for being crowned the most searched drama for the first half of 2021 beating out Duolou Continent and Siteng to take the top spot. https://www.instagram.com/p/CS9NA28FkU4/?utm_medium
Eddie Peng, Hu Ge, Zhang Ruoyun or Bai Yu or Wallace Chung or Chen Kun would be a great choice. The actors mentioned…
Oh I love those choices. Huang Xuan would be an interesting choice because he has such emotive eyes! I love Lin Yu Shen! He is a great actor but is often paired with an actress and script that doesn't match his bearing. Huang Xiaoming, Archie Rao and Zhu Yi Long are also fine choices. I used to want her to pair with Shawn Dou but is so underwhelming even with a great script - I find him too wooden
What you need to do is copy one of the above links then open a separate tab and put into google translate, make you you change one box setting from Mandarin and the other English then you copy the entire link into the English box. Then click on the link in the English box and the entire story should be translated for you.
There are some rough grammar errors I guess due to translation but you get the gist of it.
She has two dramas with youku and a rumored one with iQiyi, tencent don’t deserve her! They’d better give…
As she's signed under an agency as well as her own personal agency, contracts with big parent companies like Tencent are hard and arduous to get out of. I think she's been more selective with her choices and trying out new roles. Which is something I would expect from someone with her tenure and popularity. She's no longer comfortable with popularity, she's going for longevity which is a great career move.
