Wow really? I loved LITCH sooo much don't think I had one complaint about that - Ji Bo Zai is my man my man my…
Okay yeah fair. I saw the chermistry in LITCH and also in this but thats why we all have diff perspectives. I am looking firward to more Neo dramas, there was another that came out earlier this year that I am wiping from memory cause it was so dissapointing
Welll I am just in epusode 1 but Wuyi asked for Grand Tutor's daughter's hand in marriage who also happens to…
Yes like OMG!!! That made me so mad and honestly shaped how I look at Li Mao ( I never much liked him anyway) but like OMG the scene where they find them after the incident - he barely consoles his so called love who just lost someone so important
I know I shouldn’t compare but… I loved this so much more than love in the clouds
Wow really? I loved LITCH sooo much don't think I had one complaint about that - Ji Bo Zai is my man my man my man. This show started to lose me after episode 18
Currently on ep 2 and I'm so confused with the characters lol why is Wuyi the heir and not his older brother?…
XWY's older brother - assuming you have met him has a lame leg. Back then, it was difficult for people with disabilities or sicknesses to inherit positions if there were other "able-bodied " (gag, hate those words) relatives to take over.
On the crown princess, it's a mistranslation - she is XWY's wife so the Jingnan heir apparent's consort
I felt the same way, but not starting from episode 15; for me, it was episode 21. I thought I was watching some…
Yess for it was episode 15 /16? I was like huh??? am I watching the same show? became so disjointed and rushed - more episdodes would have allowed the plot to bloom better andf maybe stop some of the drastic choices they had to make to make the story tightly fit in 28 epsidoes. I am stuck on episode 24 and really can't make myself finish despite how much I love Neo and how much his acting has improved
Rewatching for the third time, I think this drama is better than Pursuit of Jade. Don’t get me wrong, POJ is…
IDK the last 10 episodes of this show kind of were not great, almost like it was a different director or writer; the show had so much potential that just fizzled out. Haven't even been able to finish - I'm on episode 24 and have started watching at 1.75 speed, and honestly just skipping - which I never do, but I'm just so disappointed with how this show that had so much potential faded. Contrarily, I'm not even mad about the romance, or well, lack thereof really (despite how the trailer was marketed); the plot in the first 187 episodes made up for it. Even though it's unrealistic for such an accomplished general after years of marriage to have done nothing with the "woman he fell for at first sight" - his words, I'll let it slide because 1. MMC has an overall goal and limited timeline; 2. they are actively in war, internal and external; and 3. it took a while for FMC to trust him - even as late as episode 18, I think she is still a bit suspicious of him.
In summary, the show is good, but could've been great without some of the logic blunders and rushed feel of the last few episodes

Haven't watched POJ, but I'd have to say I dropped a lot of rating for this show because of the last 10ish episodes (haven't even bveen able to finish despite how much - almost as if there was a change in director or writer; the logic, pacing, thinking of the characters became different, almost rushed and illogical, even. This show had soooooooooooooooooo much potential! The war scenes were fabulous and realistic!!!! MMC wasn't just some magically strong character, no! He knew military tactics, suffered injuries, but was still valiant; there was a hidden identity, secret guards, ambition. There was so much to work with, and it felt a bit wasted.
eps 25;crap, WTF this ML --- i dont wannabe an emperor, i just wanna live free with my wife ................ WTF…
OMG I have to agree with you. Show started soooooo good then around epusode 18 isd just started going downhill and almost everything was setup to be for Li Mao. Even the conflict with ther dad just fizzled out so quickly. I wish Neo gets to play a proper non unfortunate character - even in love in the clouds ( which I loveddd soooo much Ji Bo Zai is my man but even then he like gave up everything )
Just finished episode 12; some parts were a bit corny, but I am REALLY liking this!!! So excited for the next episode. Pacing seems crazy fast and you know what I am here for it.
im in episode 4please tell me that nothing is going to break the friendship between Wuyi and Li Mao 😭😫they…
Welll I am just in epusode 1 but Wuyi asked for Grand Tutor's daughter's hand in marriage who also happens to be childhopos sweethearts with Li Mao - don't see that bromance lasting
This honestly has to be one of the worst seasons of heart signal in recent times. which is sad cause I loved the last season so much. The casting was so weird and idk if it was because of the test they did but like compatibility was so low between couples. Also feel like there were not really strong friendships. Felt like at every point Yu Han was always pressured to choose Yifan or was so annoying. like he wasn’t allowed to have his own thoughts and feelings. like with the picking the cars thing… they were all like pick that one it has your dog on it, if you don’t pick it no one will. completely disregarding HIS choice and what he wanted. don’t like this season
this was such an awesome review, I binged thigh only over a few days but it feels like I forgot some parts that I actually really liked. reading your review was so refreshing and actually changed my perspective and made me remember why I loved Bai Jiu Si as a character
but to be honest WXY played good. I can see this softness as Zhang Zhe and toughness as Duke Su. completely different…
he’s such a good actor nor going to lie cause I loveeeee Duke Su!! like ten totes down for that character. but he also knew how to make Zhang Zhe stand out without overpowering the Male lead
just finished and I must say I loved this!!! great plot and pacing. actors did wonderful with their roles. this was the perfect depiction of a court intrigue/ revenge/ dark romance. morally great has never been done so well both in the MMC and FMC. I loved it. the slow burn was chef’s kiss my only issue and I guess it could just be a me thing but I felt like the turning point in Xue Ning’s feelings felt a bit should I say rushed? idk Also would have loved to see the issue Ju an had with Xue Ning’s dad resolved. All in all I really liked this show!!! smart lads done well is always such a treat!!! the MMC coming out on top was always done so realistically!!! it made it more believable, kind of like what Xue Ning says “ Xie Wei may not always win but he never loses” the loser were tempered with moments of reprieve and success and even the successes were well balanced to add an element of realism cause think about it if the bad guys were so easy to beat or fool, the court would not have struggled for years.
