Review A Tale of Thousand Stars Spoiler
This is a subtype of “BL” where love happens because a woman is inside of one of the lads one way or another. Just as here, where a heat of a female who was kind of in love with the other lad, makes them come together.

The idea of living a life for someone else is pretty stupid, because if you have never wanted to be a teacher in a far away wild village, then it means it is not what you like. And you have already found what YOU like and want to do by this age.

Also, the idea that the transplanted heart is anything else than just an organ and all of a sudden means some “connection”, “spiritual succession” or anything alike is absurd, of course. No need to submerge yourself in the fantasy world of nonsense and destroy your life plans over this superstition.

It actually annoying that the lad is ready to throw his life away by going to a wild, less sanitary place while his immune system is compromised to avoid the rejection of the heart. If he did not care about his life that much, why did he sign in to the heart transplantation waiting list (it does not work the way the series has shown, you can not just get a heart not being in a queue at all, leaving aside the corruption to get the heart faster). Someone else could have gotten this heart and used it correctly to live for as long as possible.

No way he should have been going to the jungle, running and fighting around with people. And it is not even belivable that the lad would have been sent there medical checkup is absolutely unavoidable in this situation.

The fact whole notebook drama makes no sense. The lad could have carried a small lockable case for this or photograph the pages with his phone.

The drama about the burning of school in the village alao makes no sense. It is just a shabby hovel that can be rebuilt from the same sticks in a mere few days. And yet everyone becomes suicidal over this.

The car sold to some car race drivers drama does not make sense, either. Nothing to do with the lad.

Iron ore miners are not somehow guilty because their products end up in knives or bombs that kill people, not just in someone purely positive.

There is no real drama about the heart transplantation, either. The fact that the lad got his heart from a lass that the other lad knew and likes does not matter at all. It would have only mattered if the lad killed the lass to get her heart, but it is not the case. So nothing really dramatic about this.

What would be the idea how any of this should be dramatic? That the lad himself was driving the racing car, killed the lass, and the ambulance has picked up both of them right there to do the heart transplantation? How stupid one should be to think that, unless you are one of the main lads in this series?

There is nothing for Earth character to be really angry about in regards to Mix’ one, the drama is not believable.

Earth is playing a bad character again. There is no way I would have forgiven the attitude and mistrust on the level that he did not even care to find out whether the other lad has “killed” or not.

And I would have been fine with a lover who would say I am the same person as a different person he has liked before.

In emergency situations both militarized and medical personnel are not running around screaming like hecklers in a market or something; this was ridiculous.

Even at the end Earth’s character is still saying to Mix’s character that the lass “would have forgiven him”, even though it is absurd as there is nothing to forgive him for.

So, if the lads’ love is so epic and larger than life, why the lad is dropping it so easily for education abroad just because he, a fully grown adult, is slavishly obedient to his parents?

You did not immediately recognise him beause this is an old series before his prime and before he has did a nose…
By default I am not Britney Spears, but technically I could be. Maybe she was bored and has decided to create a MyDramaList account with a random avatar to watch and comment on BL series.

My point is that we should not pretend that overwhelmingly probable and highly improbable things are equal simply because the latter could be technically true.

Turns out IT IS A FAKE BL drama (for those who do not know, why, the explanation is below in a hidden response).

As nearly every series that starts with a unfriendly state between the main couple, it lacks believability because in real life those lads would have “target assessing” glances on each other (though not openly), instead of being just annoyed. However, this is never showed because of the nonsensical formula that they are straight until they suddenly turn gay some time later.

In Thailand stationary militarised outposts are made of standard blocks that provide things like showers etc, so the show is taking liberties here for a bigger dramatic effect. Or the timeline should have been rewinded back ten or twenty years back.

It is great that they have decided to film in nature, and they even have some dark scenes with fire that look beautiful. NOT a school/university series, so it is already good. Showcases corruption of the elites, which is great. But too many things in the series are not believable:

Did you forget the anime version or there was none?
Maybe you have reviewed it on a sister site called MyAnimeList?

highschoolers and bdsm?! which pedo wrote this script
To be fair, high schoolers are not children for years by that point, so they have fun on their own and with each other just fine. They are not waiting until they grow a beer belly at the age of fifty to have sex and BDSM just because prudish Western viewers like us might think that would be the only appropriate time to start going raunchy.

Review Hit Bite Love
To be fair, no children were filmed in the series in any role of note, so not sure what the paedophile thing should be about. Nothing bad about short shorts, especially for Thailand with extremely humid and warm climate.

That said, the show may have other issues like you have outlined, it was not an award-winning production of the year or something for sure.

In a series that is not excellent all around the only criteria if one might want to watch it is the lads. If you do like them, watch the show, if you do not, do not watch it. The series will not profoundly affect you with its depth of scenerio and directing.

the way people where acting in the comments and review I really thought this was the hottest garbage on earth…
People say one of the main lads is afraid of intimacy and makes weird faces whenever the other lad gets close to him. If so, then the physics, biology, chemistry is lacking, right?

I only checked this out because today is Peak's (Fuse from make it right) b'day so he is on the front page, and…
Peak is cute and actually clear minded, rational and smart, if you listen to his interviews. So I wonder what has happened. My guess the issue he was not a scriptwriter in this, a senior chap was, who also usually does directing.

In terms of the art of singing, I am not a competent judge of that, either, though I can hear that Satur sounds great. And I did not listen enough of Billikin to have an opinion about his performance skills, so I can only mention the voice timbre.

Apparently, my aesthetics preferences are so loose that I like any skin colour and all three mainline races. Though I generally do prefer cuter types, not muscular hulks, which is a funny preference to have for someone of my size and type (makes no sense, TBH, LOL).

And I also have watched older Korean media pre circa 2010 where celebrities still mostly had their natural skin colour before turning porcelain white after. It is the best seen on old K-Pop bands like Super Junior both in their music videos and TV shows they have participated in. I like the looks either way, but it would be too bad if everybody would go white.

But I do like it how in the series like ABO Desire actors wear full make up and look white due to post production filters and such. It is a fantasy world, so why not. And Huang Xing looks divine there, an unreal being, a true enigma. Maybe the best use of make up of the year or even decade. Not that I understand much in make up (never use it myself).

I have watched videos of Xing from years ago with no whitening filters or makeup, and his tanned looks is still breathtaking.

But I agree for better contrast and the artistic purpose white skin looks great. I am used to this via manga and anime, and we even know one other famous character of the past who has looked like that: MJ, even though the paleness was due to vitiligo, the sharp pointy nose was designed to follow Micky Mouse (MJ was fanatical Disney adept since early childhood) or manga drawings, he was looking like an alien part unintentionally and part by his own design (that might have gone overboard at times).

Myself is pretty weird because my covered body parts are super pale, but due to a portion of southern blood in my mix the parts that are open get tanned more than usual, including the face (maybe it can be seen in my avatar, I am not sure because for some reason avatars mostly fail to load for me), even without me getting under sun.

Meanwhile, I just watched my first BL sitcom, called YYY (2020) — with background laughter and everything. It is rarely ever possible to make me laugh at “comedies”, even making me smile is not easy, so I am not a good indicator of things that are funny or unfunny. But I thought it was unusual enough to watch at least once, and the series had cute lads. I am not recommending to watch it for anything else other than the lads, though. Did you ever watch a BL comedy?

The second story (episodes 3-4) in reality would have been the shortest: you are pursued by a cute rich lad, and you immediately say “yes” to this; end of story.

Review Check Out
It is in an interesting review, thanks, but how cheating is among the issues of the series?

This is the most normal and mundane stuff that happens in real life, which is not rainbows and ponies.

The same goes for jerks, lying and toxicity. It all is natural and how things go.

Do we complain that people get killed in the Godfather film? It is much more toxic than anything that any BL series shows.

What it not supposed to happen with the series is a boring script and stiff acting, if those things are there.

To be clear, all actors knew from the very beginning that there will be nude scenes, and have consciously agreed to it. They are adults with full agency, so we do not need to infantilize them in this regard, it was their choice. And there is nothing wrong with the nudity during filming, if all parties are signed on this.

It is surely possible to say “but they might have not liked it”, but it is does not count in work you signed up to. For example, literally nobody likes to do hard manual labour, but this is the job.

It is understandable that some viewers might not like it, but it is not an objective reason to dislike either the series or the studio. (It would have been a totally different story if the practice was not agreed upon or the lads were trafficked and forced to do this, but here it is not the case at all.)

However, discussing acting, scenario and direction is an all around valid subject, and many people have issues with those aspects in this series.

Title Y-Destiny Spoiler
NEVER let your children to participate in any sport or activity where they can be hit in the head.It leads to…
In a real life version, Chap’s character would not refuse seeing the other lad’s goodies. Also, what kind of weird illness the lad caught that produces pimples and itching? Looks like a STD, not anything regular, LOL. EDIT: it was chickenpox, but why?

Do not punish anyone with writing “profound” quotes too many times. Not only it will make the person to hate the message and the punisher, but it might lead to inflammation of the wrist and the onset of the tunnel syndrome. Make the guilty person do only a limited number of the quote writing tries, and then switch the punishment to something different and helpful.

Of course, there is no need to be boyfriends to have fun.

Max is playing a violent dislikesble psychopath, alas. Never be in a relationship with a person who has hit you. Well, Nat is playing a sexual harasser, but he is smaller, so it is not intimidating or even potentially dangerous.

The second story (episodes 3-4) in reality would have been the shortest: you are pursued by a cute rich lad, and you immediately say “yes” to this; end of story.

Rich people do not have days when all of their bodyguard are off duty.

Episodes 11-12 story is sad because the lad has lost seven years of life, not because of bad friend and one night stands or something. I also did not catch the reason why the main couple speaks in English half of the time all of a sudden.

I also thought the explanation about why one the lads has decide to date a third lad would be that he is also a bottom, so both being bottoms would not work too good, LOL.

WHAT? The lad went suicidal to get into a car accident?

Homeless beggars in Bangkok do not have to be dirty as there are free showers available for them from humanitarian institutions.

Scientifically, there is no such thing as fate, so if time travel was possible, then the episodes 14-14’t lad’s love interest could have been saved with no issue. But it is pure fantasy because time travel will never be possible no matter what: there are no physical principles that would allow that.

The same issue as with many other BLs: we have strongly cute lads that are not having fun with each other just because they are not in love.

NONSENSE; this is not how it works. The desire is incredibly strong, so lads use every possible opportunity to have fun with someone cute. Love or dating are purely optional and only might come later.

So the relationship dynamics between many characters is not believable.
