My guess is there maybe another set up of a possible trope for misunderstanding. But I really hope not. ML is smart to decide to come out honest and open, now it’s her journey to learn to trust him. That was my exact same point earlier when I watch this, reckless behaviour putting herself in danger. However I know it’s a common trope as if we don’t have this, there will be little climatic scene, so the director has to create some tension for audience 😅.
