I didn’t feel this level of absence or character digression from Xie Zheng in the novel—he never stopped feeling…
👍🏻I like your perspective. Since you mentioned LoTR, I wanted to share that I would have prefer FCY’s fight scene be done like Eowyn, although she can fight and can be strong, but her strengths and tactics in her fight should be on her agility and benefits of being small size, and not just brutal strengths😓. I also would really prefer to see more of Xie Zheng’s fight scenes.
Deng Kai’s character acted as a kind brother for a long time but he is always there planning for revenge. I didn’t know which clip you saw, so can’t help you on which ep.
Yes Deng Kai character kill his younger brother, they are not exactly blood related. It’s all along an act to be like a kind brother, there is a twist in Deng Kai’s character here.
They didn't focus on all the things that made S1 so good.
Exactly! They spent too much time on flash backs and re-establishing the characters relationships, where the story telling fall short😓. Totally agreed with your promotion on Young Blood 2.
Having watched 10 episodes and enjoying the familiar feels of the 80s (hairstyles! Earrings! That fringe! I can…
👍🏻well written write up. I enjoying reading your perspectives. So true that FL is really a strong and resilience woman, who is also altruistic to want to help her friends and family seek a better life. I can’t imagine re-living that era and hold on to the wisdom to make such wise decisions like Xia XiaoLan.🤩
Agreed. The second slap feels unnecessary, perhaps only to give a ‘dramatic effect’.😓
Thanks for sharing. I can understand force kiss, gets a slap. But recent ep., he explained and gently kiss her forehead which she didn’t reject then she slaps…that didn’t make sense😓. And like you, I never agreed with violent behaviour whether from men or women. As you said, she could just push him away, why that slap? So what I understand is screen play tried to keep the essence from the novel but lost the appropriate moment. 🤦🏻♀️
They both died.
