That’s one of my biggest frustration with this production. ZLH made somuch effort to film the fight scenes and the production choose to cut it out and prioritize other scenes 😤.

Ah…I could never understand the age😅. Thanks for this info. In the ‘what if’ universe, boy XZ just seems so much older and FCY is not even born, that makes their age gap bigger than the show presented.

It was out of character for Xie Wu, who since the beginning has been so aware and sensitive to XZ and FCY’s relationship. I felt that scene was purely for comedic relief😅.

You are not alone, the writing fall short as it progresses. A lot of obvious plot holes surfaced after XZ returned to his camp, war starts then FCY came to camp and the final political arc. The director chooses to focus on beautiful scenes and CP but lost the plot🤷🏻‍♀️. But that’s just my opinion.
