This drama tried to show moments of his human side for audience to empathize with him. But it’s hard for me to feel pity for someone who not only is morally grey but also rather selfish, he will sacrifice whatever is needed to keep himself alive. A true survival of no concern of others. I wonder will he break if it threatens his son. But as he said in previous ep. to GYZ, “see whose karma will come back and bite them.”

Ep 32, as expected XRT is sacrificed. Her death is quite quick and no drag.

Have not indicate that CXZ know LMT is Lu Wen but he sure knows Ziyu is not Lu Wen.

This is the second drama that I see him being in an annoying and villian role. lol! He seems to have a pitiful villian look.

So my earlier guess is correct, Ziyu is the late Crown Prince’s son that suppose to have died but did not. So he is back for revenge and to take back his throne. Seems like Liu MianTang as Lu Wen was helping him earlier on. Now he is with King Sui plotting a comeback.

Well said. I totally love all the characters even the parents, over dramatic but definitely some realism, they felt so natural and well fitted in their roles.

It’s a nice touch to see how their confrontation is done. Pretty smart. It’s as if the truth were said but not need to be revealed. Liu Mian Tang’s words have double meaning and with Cui Xing Zhou’s smartness, he would have guessed it.

I had the same assumption too, will see in today’s ep.

Really love HaiMo’s character, she can be quite a good agent/spy too.

Ep 21, I quite like this ep. Liu MianTang clarified some misunderstanding with Cui XingZhuo and she forgave him and told him not to tell her the truth.

Hahahha…same here. It’s between 1.5 to 1.25 in all ep.🤣

My brother brought me a souvenir from SuZhou, a lovely portrait of SuZhou landscape. I didn’t really appreciate it till I watch this. It is truly a beautiful place and I aim to visit it someday;).

Yup, me too. I do still enjoy it…hahaha…can’t help it, my critical mind tends to overthink;)
