Yup, in the world of pain and suffering, one would like to escape to the world of fantasy and idealism with sweetness. Personally I do not quite understand why Squid game or Hunger game type of drama can gain high ratings, but I guess the triumph of common people gaining resilience and surviving hardship, is also an escape from reality;)

If I am not wrong, this is his first comedy role in a drama. You are right, his other drama tends to be more serious and intense. But he has a drama earlier this year, “Love me, Love My Voice”, he is a ML and it’s a sweet romantic melodrama focus on voice dubbing professional. Can try that, warm and fluffy love story.😍 He has another upcoming modern drama, which he will also be in comedy role, title “Filter”, hoping that will also air soon.

The story focus is not on romance, more on TJC’s character growth and, the Four Pavilion’s case investigation.

Ep 7, why do I keep feeling that everybody bullies Yuan Mo😅. And I can’t see his relationship with A Shu, feels more like brother and sister😅, and he really has a soft spot for her😅.

I agreed with your point of 2 ep., I don’t ML know he likes her but he definitely starting to realise his life somehow revolves around her. We are so far being shown from FL’s perspective there she may have some feelings for him and only realizing it now. We shall see how their romance develop.
