🤣🤣🤣 The costume of this drama was also very well made, the variety and effort in designing the costume and sets. To me, this is still the most iconic XianXia for that year😍.

It’s a very long old drama, but historical accurate to the happenings. I got the year wrong, it’s 2003, where drama was allowed for 60ep😅. Hope you can enjoy it.

It had already been made before, “Towards the Republic” 2003 is about the collapsed of Qing Dynasty and how CiXi’s bad choices lead to the downfall. It’s a good drama.

To me the best is still the 1983 version. However the 2017 version was closest adaptation to novel. I feel this current cliff note version, watered down the depth of many characters, whether it’s Huang YaoShi, or Yang Kang, it’s really not so fun to watch anymore, but I stayed on to see how they will end this.
