I was thinking the same…the lighting, camera works and pacing of dialogue, and allowing the actors to propel the story arc. Thought the first 4 ep were very well set arc.
And both CXX and LYX have great screen presence and such eye candy to look at😍🤩.

If you prefer romance oriented stories, try ep 5-6 Bai Yu and Wang Yu Wen; or ep 13-14, bookshop, time travel - very sweet;).

The stories are not related. Ep 1 and 2 are one story then 3-4, etc.

Only Qing Yue was severely injured and in coma, however the ending scenes showed a possibility that she woke up;).

The tattoo guy was caught. But nope he didn’t die but likely will be sentenced to death with so many people he killed. There are bigger players at the background.

Yeah, that’s the issue, Li Ming injected a non drug, but the Prof injected her with the experimented drug. That part whether did she escapes or he let her go wasn’t clear.

Their primary role will still be their major in forensic science and only in circumstances can they or do they need to pull a gun;). Yeah, tough profession.

On point 3. There is no intention to kill her initially. Li Ming injected Yu Fei just to make her drowsy. But the Professor eager to test his drugs, injected additional dose that cause her hallucination, I believe he also let her go. So she went out and collapsed at the lamp post, QSZ found her, then his car was intercepted and exploded. So Yu Fei died.

Depends on the country and their hired role, so if they are hired under police jurisdiction, forensic doctor can be trained like a police and can issued gun.
