I don’t remember which part that LSS mentioned she went to mortal to do multiple trials and made her look like YXW, (yes she may go to mortal world to do trials but never cross paths with YXW or TTJ), maybe you can tell me which ep., I will review it again. The other background of YXW which was not clearly explained in the drama is the history of LSS and who she was. She was the child of Chu Huang and Di Mian, her original self was broke apart when she was conceived, as you can see that Chu Huang was fighting DG with MY and injured, part of LSS’s soul went to mortal to become YXW who married version 1 of TTJ, and tortured him to death at the lake and become DG. And the rest of LSS Jay was born from egg and remains with her teacher in the mountain, till DG came to attack. So LSS is sent back to this timeline before TTJ died and to change his course of life.

TTJ didn’t became DG as planned, the event got shifted because of LSS involvement. That’s the risk and plan that MY has set up in motion, no one at this point are sure that the plan will work. TTJ figured out in the end because he learnt love and sacrifice. There is a back story on why TTJ was chosen. TTJ sect, Yu Yue sect made a pact with DG.

MY picked him for a very good reason which will reveal later, MY wants to teach TTJ about love and sacrifice for greater good. After the MY’s Bore dream, TTJ then has the ability to grow love thread. - TTJ is the selected devil fetus with devil bone. So his life is control by DG in some way to suffer betrayal and abandonment by others, so when TTJ dies, his body and soul can truest belongs to DG. - DG 1.0 was not killed by MY, at that time they still have no idea to how to kill DG, hence MY can only keep the devil bone sealed up. - It’s the cycle that every thousand years DG will be reborn as mortal. MY and the other Gods took a new bargain and risk by planting LSS back to the past to change the mortal DG’s destiny.
