So, I think I maybe figured out part of the game? (Finished Episode 8)It is a simulation/telepathic connection/teleportation…
The players weren’t aware is a tri-solar system. Or at least in the actual Chinese language the narration only mentioned three body system but never mentioned tri-solar. The players have to go through a few more rounds before they realised it. I like your last statement, seems that case here…fallacy, assumptions and expectations…hence sci-fi drama with fantasy. Can’t use too much logic here. Lol.

At this point, none of them have yet figure out that there were 3 suns. All of them are stuck at thinking like our solar system with only 1 sun, hence they are still stuck.
At ep 11, Bai Mu Lin is a terrible person!!! The show really downplay the torture, compare to what was written in the book, young Ye Wen Jie suffered worst hence the creation of her dark side!
I'd say give it a shot. I ended up liking it but there were a few bumps in the story which were not explained…
Just checking in. See you are still here;) nice guardian of this drama. Not much to move on to right? I am also a bit of a lost on what’s next to follow.
I think it is to pass the censorship, hence they have to downplay and dilute it. Major part of the Chinese culture…
From my understanding books’ censorship and tv drama censorship has different criteria. The idea of culture revolution has good intention, it’s the execution of the idea and how it was carried out that were too extreme.
Im disappointed that this drama doesnt show the very first chapter of the book where ye wenjie's dad is being…
I think it is to pass the censorship, hence they have to downplay and dilute it. Major part of the Chinese culture revolution if shown on screen, I doubt the drama can pass censorship. I don’t feel it’s a good or bad light, just a sensitive shameful past that China would wish not to announce to the world blatantly, my guess. I also totally agreed with you, disappointed that they can’t show the full story of Ye WenJie, it dilutes her motivation and why she made such a choice. I read the original version in Chinese. There is a Taiwanese print and Hong Kong print, not much different, but the translated English version, its chapters were re-arranged.
You know, last 6-12 months a new trend is getting spread - a very hypertrophied "healthy behaviour". Here and…
Interesting…you are quite right there, it’s always easier to judge and definitely takes more effort to process and evaluate. Soon “toxicity” will be overrated. Lol!
I’ve been away from this forum for quite a while and it has already been beyond two months since this series…
Most people prefer cute koala and dislike porcupine from first look. But some of us may stay long enough to realise the strengths and cuteness of porcupines. Lol. Join the club of not moving on;).
Can someone spoil me? Whats their ending? Also, whats his job? Im still at episode 2.Anyway, I didnt expect to…
Happy ending. He as in ML? He used to hold a successful job but decided to quit and returned to his hometown to develop his village tourism. He is the main investor and boss for a couple of business in his hometown. Yeah, Janice Wu only cameo for 2 ep., however she will be discussed about on and off throughout the series. Enjoy! Definitely worth the watch.
Ep 9, such a national crisis and they only order an old rookie police officer and his one assistant to investigate….hmmmm. And many repetition in dialogue with no progression, feeling the drag.
