What is being motherly or fatherly feel, when the roles are reversed!
I started this drama just out of curiosity. But never expected it to leave a unimaginable message to the world. It's new, fresh and endearing journey of a man being a parent and his environment to his acceptance. If you feel grossed about the idea of a man being pregnant, then definitely you should watch this. The story is not perfect but VERY realistic in the sense of humanity. It's a lifetime visual experience in this world where prejudice prevails and we let it happen intentionally. FYI- in this drama he's neither gay nor a transgender. Rest is upto your curiosity (Λα΅Λ)
A Must watch!
I'll still be questioning myself if he's the mother or father of the child by definition. Amazing!
She's an enigma, she finds it difficult to understand.
Enigma= Dope series! π₯Win's appearance made this more enchanting and mesmerizing. Oth Prim is definitely one of the brightest actor of GMMTV! She's small in appearance but her presence was vividly trenchant. I'm rooting for her future.
Before this series I had very little idea of Win's capability of acting because Together series didn't met my expectations, but But after Enigma I became a fan of Win.
Just because it was a 4 episode series that doesn't mean it lack depth, they gave depth and purpose of the characters just the right amount. The visual, the suspence, the noir vibe made this series exceptionally remarkable and outstanding which will leave you wanting more.
Each memory has a soundtrack of its own. It takes 1 song to bring back 1000 of memories.
First love hatsukoi is a poem that you can read over and over again but still won't get bored. A love story full of heart breaks, mistakes and tragic turns.I watched it in the past and now I came here again after rewatching this, made me realise that how many times I watch this, I'll cry the same. This story makes you feel nostalgic, happy and sad all at once.
Actors did their job very well. Music is good. Overall quite overwhelming. Cinematography was beautiful. Found a extremely delicious looking dish Napolitan, I have to make that for sure!
P.S.- Don't forget to bring tissues. You'll need that.
"You know Jonathan, if you add your marks with mine, we make a perfect 100!" said Shane
What a lovely movie!I started watching this very randomly because I was bored and outside it was gloomy dark weather, somehow I ended up watching this movie. It's hard to explain in words how beautiful the whole story, cast, the acting and the cinematography was. It's an unspoken feeling that will linger on your mind for couple of days.
Teenage love is hard, beautiful and full of inexperienced unknown emotions which wa portrayed that pragmatically as possible. Love and friendship intertwined and presented longing, belonging and finally founding peace with one's own mind, which is the most exhausting journey in the world. Shane is longing for a lifelong friendship from Jonathan and he is bottling up his love for Shane.
What I loved about this movie is that they will not show you your pre-assumed happy ending but something more than that. The background music is very soothing, it just blends into the theme so well that it creates a nostalgic earthy aura around it.
Highly recommendable and it's better to watch it alone, so that you can feel the characters like I did.
But one spoiler, don't expect "happy ending". It's not your normal fluffy BL but a LGBTQ themed queer awakening movie.
When gripped by the haunting past, it's hard to move forward in the present alone
Sunsets Secrets Regrets is a intriguing crime suspense drama which masterfully blended intricate storytelling with deep vulnerable human nature by creating a narrative that slowly unfolded the suspense knots with precision and attention to detail. The dramaβs strength lies in its complex characters carrying their own secrets and regrets that drove the story forward. The drama followed three charactersβZhou Jin, Jiang Hansheng, and Jiang Cheng. They grew up in the same alley as playmates and later found themselves entangled in a web of mysteries and personal struggles. Their roles in society, hidden truths, personal demons challenged their fractured relationships more and more.
>>Character Analysis:
β’Jiang Hansheng is the emotional core of this drama. He is a man with a troubled past. But he embodied resilience and complexity as revealed further. His character arc was a journey of redemption and self-discovery written boldly in traumatic language. The internal conflict between his desire for justice and the shadows of his own secrets added depth to his complex persona. His obsessive deep love for Zhou Jin revealed that he is a man who is both vulnerable and fiercely protective, making him relatable and compelling.
β’Zhou Jin is a character layered with complexity and subtlety. She is intelligent, resourceful, and emotionally guarded. Her past is filled with mystery, and her cautious nature masked deep pain. Her evolution throughout the series is marked by her gradual opening up and confronting her own vulnerabilities after she met Hansheng.
β’Jiang Cheng is the brave figure whose calm exterior hided his chaotic inner world. His loyalty towards his friends and his determination to protect his loved ones at all costs made him a pivotal character in this drama. Jiang Chengβs journey is all about his sacrifice and confronting past with harsh realities. He often acted as the emotional bridge between Zhou Jin and Jiang Hansheng.
β’Qi Yan is our main antagonist who binds the lives of our main characters together. His problematic upbringing led him to be a psychopathic murderer who found peace, happiness and beauty in death. The cold-blooded, crooked smile, paired with dramatically paused articulation gave chills!
β’Other characters, especially Wang Pangze, the professor was very well portrayed. His admiration, trust and respect for his student Hansheng was boundless. Surely he was more a father figure to him than a professor. So I can't move forward without mentioning this cutie grandpa.
Honestly, I started this drama because I loved Jing Boran in "Regeneration" and, again, his brilliant performance moved me. His sensational, slow-burn chemistry with Elvira was one of the best things about this drama. Initially, his obsessive, observational love towards Zhou Jin bothered me, but as the storyline continued, layer by layer, each and every question of mine was answered. This proved to be one of the best romantic thriller for me. It kept me on the invested in the storyline throughout the series. I enjoyed every minute of it.
This drama balanced suspense with emotional depth very well. The characters were excellently portrayed, as each of them brought unique perspectives and emotional weight to the storyline. It is a must watch for those who appreciate layered storytelling with strong character development. A perfect blend of mystery with romance!
How to live a movie when you know your time is bound and ephemeral?
I'm writing this review with a wounded heart, choked voice and heavy eyelids. Basically, I'm numb.Words are not enough to express how I felt about this drama. This made me go through pain, little by little in every episode and, by the end of it, it just left me in a puddle. Sudden departure makes you traumatized, but when you live episode of this, you just don't have anything left inside to feel anything. It's like my brain is rationally working normal, but it has these constant dark clouds looming over my senses that won't go.
All I want to say is that if you are hesitant about whether to watch it or not, and probably putting it off because of its expected outcome, then I'd say watch it to feel the feelings you have. Even if it makes you sad, let's cry. Even though it's for a fictional character, we have masked ourselves enough in real life as untouchable tough humans anyway. No one's going to know. Keep your emotions real, atleast to yourselves.
As Daeum said, I agree that this drama is really like that favorite book you don't want it to finish. You count pages and slow down so that it lasts longer. For the longest time, I'll remember MiMi, the ost. It owns my heart.
Obviously, I recommend this to those people out there who are brave enough to be vulnerable and willing to surrender their hearts to be broken, like a SE masochist!
Who is she?
"Truth is like light that binds us. Lies are like a beautiful sunset that makes everything look incredible. That is until you get caught."The Art of Sarah is a drama where truth hides behind a carefully painted mask.
Sarah Kim, an elegant businesswoman who dreams of ruling the high-end bags in the name of "Boudoir". No one truly knows her real identity, and that mystery becomes the beating heart of the series. Sarah didn't simply exist in the luxury worldβ she came here to dominate it. With poised smiles and calculating eyes, she moved through elite circles like a queen on a chessboard, always ten steps ahead of everyone. Watching her was truly hypnotic. Is she a genius? A survivor? A master manipulator? The drama thrives on never giving us a clear answer. Shin Hye Sun, the woman, the brilliant artist you are!
On the other hand, Park Mu Gyeong, the police officer who's determined to uncover the truth, is calm, intelligent, and morally grounded. He served as the perfect contrast to Sarahβs ambiguity. Their dynamic was electric β not loud, but simmering yet elegant! Their confrontation was filled with tension you can almost taste with your eyes. He seeks justice, she protects her secrets and between them lies a dangerous game of cat and mouse!
The cinematography of the drama is stunning. The luxurious settings, beautifully crafted bags and intense close-ups amplify the suspense and emotional weight. Just like any other Netflix originals, it reeks of money and glamour.
>>However, the series isnβt without flaws.
The pacing slows down in the middle episodes, stretching certain conflicts longer than necessary. Supporting characters felt underwritten as like existing more to serve Sarahβs mystery than to stand on their own. While her cold brilliance was captivating, the drama occasionally withholds too much emotional vulnerability, making it harder to fully connect with her on a deeper level. And don't get me started on the poor quality of the investigation process. It was hasty, sloppy and laughable, which ultimately makes you question "what kind of police officer are they?" More importantly, "why?" Even if we know the question still lingers, left unanswered.
Overall, itβs a thriller that will leave you questioning every smile and every truth she speaks. Despite its imperfections, the drama remained gripping and stylish on its own. An almost con story which was hard to put down till the end. Perfect bingeworthy drama!
Love, lust, and disastrous disappointment.
The storyline is simple: two gunman brothers, Bison and Fadel, were conned by a tattoo artist, Kan, who's working with the police in exchange to clear off his own crime records. In terms of getting information from both of them, Kan involved his best friend Style without giving any information above the background of the brothers. They make the brothers fall in love, then plan to flee, but a problem arises when fake love turns into real love and then to betrayal.Things I liked:
-Khaotung as Bison, where do I start? This man never disappointed me when it came to showing versatility in acting. He's like a fluid who changes himself drastically as his character needs him to be. Here I was amazed to see his crazy, loving, and vulnerable side. He portrayed those intricate emotions beautifully.
- Joong as Fadel, this is my first time watching him in the show, and trust me, he won my heart! Maaann, HE ATE THIS ROLE! His character is older Bison, but in real life he's younger than Khaotung, but you will never realize how brilliantly he portrayed a stoic, emotionless yet caring older brother. He's such a good actor! I'm eager to see him in the next project.
- Style's father! Can we collectively agree that the best father of GMMTV goes to him? I mean, I haven't seen a supportive father character like this.
- We are used to watching JJ in comic roles without any romantic partners, but he and Pepper, as a couple, just surprised me! I wish GMMTV saw his potential, and please give this man a partner other than his twin brother; he's been single on screen for too long... Haha!
-One thing that kept me going that was Bison-Fadel and their brotherhood. Precious!
Things I didn't like:
- Honestly, I chose to watch the series because I trust in the FirstKhao duo, and I love their onscreen chemistry. But this series really disappointed me. In my opinion, First, Kant really didn't fit him. His tattoos were too fake and amateurish. First had potential to be great but didn't appeal to me at all. It was such a letdown.
- I'm not comfortable to say, but the characters were too horny for me to like this. I know sex sells, but too much really downgrades the overall quality of the show. The BDSM scenes were very uncomfortable to watch and poorly played. I believe if they wanted, they could have made it more natural. I needed a solid story with romance, but all I got was soft porn with a mediocre story.
- I didn't like the fact Dunk's character, Style, was too sexualized. I know that's his character, but think of it this way: if it was a girl, how much backlash would it get for that? And overall, Dunk needs to attend some acting classes and work on his facial expressions. I definitely liked his sassy side, but that's all. Personally, offscreen, I love his goofy, funny side and deep voice, but I need to see his best acting, as unfortunately it was not.
-Not to mention how many plot holes it has. After all those disappointing romantic scenes, I was waiting to get my most awaited angst moment of betrayal, but again it disappointed me. How come your betrayal didn't even last an episode? They made up too fast for me to realize how big the betrayal was. After some time, I decided to shut down my brain and finish it for the sake of my damn curiosity about how they would end.
Overall, it was kind of disappointing, and I had my favorite moments from it, but not enough to be a memorable one.
Mindlessly Funny With No Cliffhangers!!!
THIS story is a pure mess with lots of flaws but I still watch it.WHY?
because I would rather watch something stupid and funny than CRINGY romance. you don't have to feel guilty watching cringy storylines just because you like the ML or FL. it's mindlessly funny and full of chaos with no cliffhangers πΉπΉπΉ
the characters are VERY bad at dancing that's what makes it more funny. and stripping skills? undoubtedly hilarious. they tried but I'm sorry they're actors not dancers πΉ
if you are tired don't want to pain your brain just watch this, your brain will come back to it's initial stage lol πΉ
Good luck!
Web of lies that will question your faith in friendship
Every. Single. Character. Is. Insanely. Well. written. π―At this point I'm questioning my faith in Meen. Cuz I think she's not so innocent as she seems. There might be something... and I can't wait for it to reveal.
This is the series where you question everything, their personality, their friendship, people around them, every single person is suspicious and holding secrets of one another.
This is one of the gems of GMMTV along with FRIENDZONE the series.
I FREAKING LOVE IT!
When the one is back but is not the one who is used to be...
This is the story of a century-old man wating for his long-lost love to return before he dies. The problem arises when the indication of his reincarnated lady-love shows it's not a she but he. Will he die before finding the love for whom he waited for a century? Now it's for you to discover the truth.Β
Honestly, very honestly, I doubted the series. Not a big fan of lakorn but I wanted to give this a try. So I started this on a whim and I wanted to see one more episode of how the story would unfold. AND to my surprise, I was hooked! I'm glad I didn't watch while it was airing because if I had, then I would have lost my mind waiting for next episodes.
Β
Not everything is perfect. Things were a little cringey, awkward, and childish, but entertaining AF! There wasn't a second I felt bored. The chemistry of DaoOffroad is just the cherry on top. And I have to confess, Offroad's eye smile has become my weak point. "Having a bad day?" Just look at the picture of Offroad laughing; your worries will fade in the air like *poof*.Β
Β
What I liked:
-compelling storytellingΒ
-No bullshit time wasteΒ
- smooth like butter chemistry of the leads
-The suspense it builds from the beginning and the way they had me seated till the last minute is commendable.Β
- most importantly, the VFX was top-notch! It wasn't sloppy at all but well balanced and visually appealing.Β
Β
What I didn't like:
- calling your 1/3rd-aged man great-great grandfather 24 times an episode, was awkward AF.Β
- it was cringey at times, so I face palmed myself quite a few times ngl.
- fighting scenes could be better, but as he was a master of martial arts, I expected a clean-cut action scene
Β
Overall, it was a great watch. I can see myself rewatching this not because of the thrill but for the leads chemistry, as it was swoonworthy.
Forget the harsh cold Winter and blossom in the warmth of Spring!
A drama that gave what it promised, a time full of laughter, warmth and happiness. That's what Spring Fever was all about!**Before diving into this drama, you need to understand that this is a silly romcom that doesn't need you to seriously "think" about the situations.Β You watch and don't judge.
Spring Fever tells the story of a small town where Yoon Bom, the homeroom teacher of Seon Han Gyeol, finds herself in odd situations with his uncle Seon Jae Gyu. Despite their rough first impression, both of them got attracted to each other because of their unexpected charm, unwavering devotion, and a deep consideration for others.
It was very simple, story wise, but it was the chemistry and chaotic perspective of such scenarios and how differently they handled everything made it more funny. All the actors, including the leads and the supporting characters, were fabulous. They made every antic light and fun to watch.Β But only one thing, I didn't like the nephew and his crush. Everytime they met, I found myself rolling my eyes and an strong urge to skip their scenes. NGL they were annoying me for several reasons so I had to skip some of their scenes (I know they are teenagers and immature but still). Bom Sik, the lil doggo is the star of the show. Loved how he adopted two humans instantly on spot, who'd fight for him, literally lol.
The shooting destination was Pochang village and the cinematography of the blissful serene life was beautifully shot. The OSTs added a layer of happy bubbles to the characters and the situations, which made it even more lighthearted.Β
Personally, it was a stress-buster drama for me. It doesn't require the brain to think. You watch, you enjoy and be illogical. Don't over-complicate this thinking about the logic and reasons. There was not a single episode which was boring or something you want to skip. It was silly, fluffy and funny as hell throughout and I loved it because of that!Β
Overall, if you are looking for something light, fun and not overly complicated then this is the drama that can lift your mood in an instant.Β
P.S: 8 for the whole drama and +0.5 for Ahn Bo Hyun for being extra hottie πβ€οΈβπ₯
With repercussions of regrets and longing, can we easily move on?
I'm not the type to hop on the bandwagon of hyped content. But I definitely wanted to see what the hype is all about! So I decided to binge-watch this on Sunday. Started it in the afternoon and finished it at midnight. I was in a good mood when I started it but ended up with a choked throat and a lump in my chest. Really had a hard time with sleeping.
From the very beginning, an unsettling vibe is present, drawing the viewers into something eerie. The storyline or the situation doesn't immediately feel scary, but the tension slowly builds up, which eventually leads to moments that will leave viewers gasping in awe!
I was almost about to lose all my interest after ep 2-3, then it started...From ep 4-8, I don't know how it all just happened, and I feel like I'm in a daze.
In the first half, the story can be a bit confusing, as the events unfold without any clear explanations, leaving everything shrouded in mystery. The pacing is slow, which may not be to everyoneβs taste. I do understand people might lose interest and drop it before going to ep 4. But trust me, bear with the storyline; it gets better and better in the second half.
"Disclaimer: box of tissues needed!"
What made this stand out from all the other kdramas was its way of storytelling and its execution of putting the right situations in the right time. The storyline moves at a slower pace, though it never feels dragging or boring, as the jump scares are well-timed for an adrenaline rush; they keep you on the edge. Moreover, it doesn't solely rely on jump scares; instead, it builds tension through unsettling visuals and subtle sound design with a creeping sense of fear. The story is engaging, which will undoubtedly leave viewers wanting more. There was no way the audience could assume what was going to happen next.
Overall, it was a rollercoaster ride of suspense, mystery, tearjerker moments, and grievance. It should be watched binge-watched; otherwise, viewers can get confused by waiting. Even if it's not your genre, please give it a try; I'm sure there's no way you'll be disappointed.
P.S.- I'm definitely not going to re-watch this as this is bad for my heart. Wanted to give it a solid 10 but needed to deduct (-0.5) for making me miserable on a good day.
I went to find love but I didn't know how and where to find this "love" in this big city.
But, do I know what "love" is?Β
This is a story of a flawed person finding love and happiness in things that motivates him to write an award winning novel.
Β
After a long time I had invested myself in something that makes me "think" of the consequences of the choices I make. It touched my heart in every episode as it felt like I was watching a person live through their ups and downs infront of my eyes.
Β
βWhat I appreciated:
Β
β’ I loved how flawed, raw and realistic each and every character was. While watching them I was sure I know such people who would act this way.
β’ Supportive friends that everyone deserves! They were with him in thick and thin. Their bond was unbreakable!
β’ The pacing of the storyline was perfectly synced with characters. Each and every character was given equal importance to show their potential.
β’ Nam Yoon Su is the perfect cast this story can get! He made Go Young alive!
β’ This story shows, life is not a fairytale as you see in the kdramas. Sometimes it's fulfilling; sometimes you're barely making it through the day. You cry, fight, and curse your destiny, but you don't give up; you live on, even if this big, cold city fails you a hundred times.
β’ I can't believe how much power this story holds that a nation was trying to take this down.
βRoom for improvement:
Β
β’ I was dying to know about Gyu. But the story didn't allow us to know more about him after his departure.
Β
βThoughts on the ML:
Β
Go Young didn't want to settle for normal and always wanted that "fluttering" feeling. That's why he's been reckless all his youth. He's looking for something he doesn't know. He wanted love, but when he got that, he overlooked that for something else he doesn't have. From my pov, he only loved one guy; others just made him "grow" in life. They were his mistakes and life lessons as well. When he said, "I want to cry, but I can't squeeze tears," I felt that. I swear I'm not a crybaby, but up until episode 4, I couldn't stop tearing up. But after a while, just like ML, I got used to the sorrows.
Β
Overall, it's a realistic queer story that will make you realise if you found love, then you're the luckiest person because someone in the world is still searching for that but hasn't found it yet.
We all have our own unwritten souls within us that connects each one of us.

Unlike any other melodramas, it churns and squeezes those deepest, untouched and skillfully hidden emotions out of me. This is a drama that came to me when I needed it the most. I've watched numerous dramas but never connected myself to the characters like I did in this one. I found myself in their happiness, in despair, in frustration. There's far more depth in each one of us, including the drama characters, than it shows. Reading between the lines is where we find ourselves. Perspective is subjective, but internal turmoil is universal.
β£ Characters:
β Mirae & Miji: They're our flawed protagonist, one who believes in her gut and other does everything from her heart without thinking twice. This is the first time that watching Miji & Mirae feels like looking myself in the mirror. Our situations might not be the same, but to the extent I understand them, it's just too overwhelming for me.
β Hosu: A vigilant, devoted, blunt lawyer who doesn't compromise with truth. He's one of the clearest characters, yet he's so complicated. He's that loyal friend who has got your back whenever you need him. But he'll never open up to you because he swallows his sorrow so he doesn't become a burden to anyone. He dealt with his own demons while fighting for others.
βThe Mothers: All three of the moms have their own struggles. They are also flawed and have their own shortcomings as parents, but they try their best to provide for their children even if they have to sacrifice themselves. The precious bond between the children and the moms was heartwarming. And also, as friends, they got each other's back.
In the end, even if other people look well off, happy and fortunate to have what we don't, it's just the outer shell. We don't know what that person is going through inside, what struggles he/she is facing. They showed us that being flawed doesn't mean you're weak, but trusting yourself and believing in your potential, you can face any hurdles in life.
Overall, it's a heavy, heartwarming saga of daily struggles, triumphs and achieving peace within oneself that has properties to break and heal inside out. It's a highly recommended, must-watch drama if you are a melo sucker like me.
