That was my biggest fear from the trailer. I'll still give this one a chance tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath. What I loved about the Chinese version was how serious, smart and awkward she was. I loved it when he said she was like a monster from another planet. If they make her funny and cool it might be interesting to watch but it won't be When A Snail Falls In Love.
Thailand loves quirky and sweet FLs and they love adding teenage level humour, so I hope that maybe someday there will be a Japanese version - Now THAT will be interesting because they are the best at delivering weird but lovable outcasts.
It's like they are hiding this remake and I don't get why. Since the original was so successful they should be PRing this to death to cash in. Maybe the quality is bad so they want it under the radar or they don't want another country to outshine them?

Even worse that the official one is ugly and doesn't do the story any justice. My opinion isn't just as a viewer but also as someone who worked as a graphic designer. A good poster needs to make you want to watch by giving the eyes an interest object to focus on, so a bunch of people that you can barely see isn't doing the job.

Haven't seen it yet, but for me straightforward sounds very good. Kdramas have tried to be ground breaking in the last two years and I hated it because they went so dark. So yeah, I'm going to start this tomorrow and hope it isn't a masterpiece but just an average solid romcom.
