who actually thinks Jo boah is doing a good job in this role, feels like a miscast
Very miscast. She is my least favorite Korean actress as it is, but she's terrible in this part. I just finished Episode 3 and it's a drop for me. I just find her too annoying to sit through 13 more episodes.
This drama is based on famous American old movie Gone With the Wind (which in turn is based on Margaret Mitchell…
It's why I won't be watching past Episode 2 until Part 2 ends. I detest Gone with the Wind, so if this one ends the same way, I don't want to waste my time having watched 18 more episodes and still hate the ending :)
Because ‘The First Responders’ is just the english title of the drama. The real korean title is : 소방서…
IMO, the Korean title is much better than the bland, boring English-version. I don't know why they often do that? A descriptive, cool and unusual Korean title gets translated into "Blah, blah, blah, what's that show called again?" :)
Park Kyung Hee is literally everywhere!!!!movingmy lovely liarand this one again ! wow I hope gets a lead role…
I love her, and she's fabulous in this. She was wonderful in Love in Contract (not a fan of the drama, but she was great) and she was superb in Touch Your Heart (so cute).
Like you said, I would love to see her get a lead role -- in a quirky rom com where she plays a "very strange" female lead. She would be amazing 😃.
what I thought we had a lot of content from him on ep 1
Agreed. If he had hardly shown up, I would have dropped it by now as Episode 1 is mind-numbingly boring. I only stuck it through Episode 2 because of Rowoon. Glad I did, as the drama has definitely improved :)
You didnt feel ok with first two episodes, if you didnt you will never do....dramas is a hook at first sight or…
That's why, when people tell me "stick with (whatever drama they're talking about), as you've only watched 2 episodes" I end up dropping it, as yep, that might be the case, but there are also 19,872 other dramas I haven't started watching yet :)
Can I ask female lead's character? Is she childish energetic and very talkative ? I mean childish annoying?
Very very very annoying, talks to herself, laughs inappropriately (the spell book scene was incredibly annoying) and a very stupid person. I don't like her character at all. But... I have a feeling we will see huge character growth as the drama goes on.
Oh and btw, if you haven't started it yet, Episode 1 is the most boring K-drama episode I've watched in a long time, but give it a chance as Episode 2 is much, much better and suggests the drama could end up being very good.
How poor are you? Register, watch and show Disney that this is what people want.
Just report him, as someone who loses their temper and becomes that nasty and foul over links half of MDL and most of the Internet uses shouldn't be allowed in polite society, IMO. That's someone who would pull a gun on you if you cut in front of him in traffic. Zero ability to control his/her anger.
I can not judge series yet as I watched only pilot but unfortunately so far ep 1 was pretty boring to me. Will…
Give Episode 2 a chance. I almost dropped it after Episode 1 as it's mind-numbingly boring, but Episode 2 is a big improvement. I'm now holding out hope Episode 3 will be even better :)
It's the writing honestly, the leads seem to be trying hard but the writing is just not good and it's really boring.
Yep, It's one of the most poorly-written K-dramas I've seen in a while. Episode 2 is much better than Episode 1 though, so I'm giving it at least 4 episodes before I drop it.
The 1st ep bored me to hell honestly. I expected so much and was disappointed badly. Honestly why do Kdrama writers…
First episode was one of the most boring K-drama episodes I've seen in a long time.
It's a pity, as the second episode is MUCH better, but with a boring first episode many people just drop a drama.
Don't understand why some Korean screenwriters don't understand , if you can't grab your audience in the first episode, there's a much lower chance of grabbing them and keeping them throughout the drama as can be seen by the quite substantial ratings drop in Korea for Episode 2.
rowoon's dramas always gets good reception and engagements on the american and western market of netflix idk why…
That's good to hear but unfortunately viewer comments have little bearing on if a drama is successful or not (international critic reviews are mixed or on the negative side, btw, which was what I was referring to).
Meanwhile, in Korea, the ratings for Episode 2 dropped over half a percent, from 2.9 to 2.4 nationwide last night, while the drama dropped from 8th place to 15th place on cable TV for Episode 2.
Considering Destined for You already started with lower ratings than any JTBC drama in the same time slot all year, it has a hard climb ahead of it, IMO.
But... it is doing well on Netflix (#5 in Top 10 TV Shows so far) and hopefully that will hold.
Plus, if word spreads in Korea that Episode 2 is much better than Episode 1, some viewers may go back to it. Hopefully so as, after Episode 2, it is a lot more likely this one could be a good one :).
Okay am i the only person who is confused ... dosent ml have a gf ... if he atarted liking fl then that will make…
It's not cheating if someone begins to like someone else. It's cheating if they remain in the first relationship while starting up a second one. Anyone can be interested/fall in love with someone else, as it's impossible to control how you feel about someone. It's what they do about it afterwards that makes it cheating. Or not.
