If only some people can differentiate between fact and fiction... Just a reminder, this is a work of fiction,…
They're "woke". They have to be "offended" by something at least once or day, or they won't get the attention they think they deserve. Ignore them. They eventually go away to become "offended" by something else.
i just watched the first episode and i couldn’t stop laughing. i don’t understand this bad rating… are people…
Some people are so "woke" nowadays they're "offended" about everything. Ignore them and they will eventually go away when they're not getting the attention they crave :)
This is pretty good so far... too bad not that many people are watching it.
It's doing a lot better than the previous 5 dramas aired in that time slot -- Numbers, Joseon Attorney, Kokdu: Season of Deity, The Forbidden Marriage and Fanletter Please -- more than double ratings so far than every other of those dramas, and likely to rise higher IMO.
1 episode a week? Seriously? That is going to kill the momentum of the show completely. Ill wait until its done...…
I think many people will just put off watching until every episode is out. I watch so many K-dramas, I forget what's happened in them if I can't watch them pretty close together :)
The first two episodes were supposed to be aired last night, followed by one episode a week thereafter. But Korea is currently suffering major damage from Typhoon Khanun and so the first episode was pushed off until the time slot Episode 2 should have aired in due to a special report about the typhoon.
No idea if that means the drama will run an extra week, or if they will push another episode in somewhere else down the line?
I will say, whether I go back to the drama at some point or keep it dropped, Kai's 'With my Heart', that song sung on Ep 2 and played over the end credits, is one of the most beautiful songs I've heard in a K-drama in a while. Had it on repeat for hours :)
It happens to everyone from time to time: when you want to be on the same wavelength as others, but realize that…
Exactly. I really wanted to like this as the cinematography is gorgeous and the opening scenes really interesting, but it's just not grabbing me and the plot moves so slowly I'm watching it on double speed and still bored. May go back to it at some point. Will see what reviews are like as it continues.
Here I am reading the nutritional facts and only eating 1/2 the pkg of Ramyun...and they're eating 2 packs each…
Lived in Thailand for 15 years. Used to buy ramen by the 15 or 18-pack package, which usually only lasted me about 5 days. It's so damned cheap (equivalent of about 18 cents a pack in Thailand at that time, so perfect for a late night snack) that I now begrudge having to pay 1 euro 50 cents in Austria for just one pack. So I eat less :)
Most of the K dramas on Netflix have NO input from Netflix on their plots at all as they are not Netflix originals. They are just bought by Netflix from the Korean TV stations that produce them. That is likely to change as Netflix is investing over $3 billion in Korean dramas in the next couple of years, but so far the drama plots are Korean society naturally changing as it continues to modernize. Just like the rest of the developed world, I might add.
A huge percentage of them are anorexic just to fit in with Korea's insane beauty standards. Have you seen Park Min Young lately? Even her fans were concerned and telling her to "Eat" (not that an eating disorder works that way). But it's sad to see how some of these actresses destroy their own health just to stay impossibly thin. So thin, I doubt many men find it attractive as who wants to sleep with a twig.
Wish I could get into this. Just can't. Dropped after Ep 2. Can't stand either of the main characters. Did like the swing scene at the end of Ep 1, and the cinematography is beautiful, but it's impossible to enjoy a drama where everything either of the two main leads does grates on your nerves. Then again, I didn't like Gone with the Wind either :)
I am dropping this because WTH is going on ? It's so painful to watch and such a mess. This drama have a good…
Yep not for you :) It's now ENA's most popular/most watched drama since Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I'm loving it. Acting is superb, writing is briliant and it's genuinely funny.
Maybe Crazy Love? The first three or four episodes are kind of wild and literally crazy but it gets better with…
Me too. I recommend it to anyone that will listen :) And that scene about 17 minutes into Episode 2 is still one of my favorite scenes in all of K-drama. So funny, so good :)
It was a very enjoyable binge and I honestly thought this came out this year but it actually came last year and…
It's the same in Austria. I subscribed to Disney for a month (don't like the company at all, but they had a few K-dramas I wanted to watch), but dumped it after the first month as there wasn't enough on it I was interested in to warrant spending the money.
Netflix, on the other hand, has a huge library even in Austria where we still only get about 80% of what the U.S. gets.
I'm back in the U.S. at the moment though, and loving the complete Netflix library :)
South Korea is changing in many ways the last years but its not bcs of netflix. The drama is not a Netflix original…
Wow, could you be any ruder? And btw, you obviously don't know anything about the entertainment industry either. Netflix just bought the rights to King the Land. They didn't produce it, they didn't have any input in the writing, the directing or the production as it's not a Netflix Original.
And btw, Netflix makes the largest percentage of its money from subscribers in the United States ($13 billion of its $31 billion revenue last year), followed by those in Europe in second place, so it is never going to kowtow to people in developing countries whose values don't match those of its largest subscriber base.
If you don't like those shows, watch shows made in your own country that suit your own values. You'll probably be happier with them.
