I really don’t think she cares about the baby. Getting pregnant was just about stealing that jerky husband from…
Awful, aren't they? I think the last western drama I watched was Nurse Jackie (?), which was probably around 2015 or so when I watched every season back to back. Haven't watched any western show since, as nothing has sparked my interest. C-dramas, on the other hand, I don't have enough time to watch everything I'm interested in :)

I think you and I have a lot in common, as I agree with what your parents taught you as well :)
And btw, I don't think I have watched a western drama in at least 10 years (?) probably longer. My viewing nowadays is only C-dramas, with the occasional K-drama, (and sometimes a J-drama), along with anime and donghua. That's primarily because most western dramas are now "woke", with the people who write them/make them constantly trying to shove their extreme left-wing opinions down their viewers' throats. None of which I have any interest in so... C-dramas it is. And I'm very happy with that choice :)
You should watch her in the new drama The Epoch of Miyu -- fabulous drama, superb ensemble cast, and she's gorgeous…
She's brilliant in it. Just a word of warning though, if her character starts to drive you nuts (like she has done with pretty much all of us watching it -- LOL), stick with it. She gets better and better and better as every new episode drops. Hope you enjoy it :)
Please don't compare her with cows. My step family are cow milk famers. I love their catle, they are gentle and…
Hahahaha, yep. I grew up in the countryside in the UK and worked on a farm for a while.. with cows.
Some of the best creatures on the planet. Sweet, gentle, and always happy to nuzzle up to you if you have a carrot or some oats in your pocket. They wouldn't hurt a fly unless scared or cornered (and scared). Nope, she's not a cow, like you said, she's a vile serpent who deserves exactly what's coming to her. Soon. Hopefully.
She's actually not. Further into the drama you learn why she is like she is, and she becomes one of the best characters.…
She is with him, but she was with him first before Ah Lin butted in - she's been with him since university. And it's more complicated than that. She's a fabulous character. Especially towards the end. And btw, the last 8 or so episodes are FIRE :) (Best drama I've watched in ages).
Kira Shi plays another slut that can’t get her own man😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Always…
She's actually not. Further into the drama you learn why she is like she is, and she becomes one of the best characters. Brilliant drama, btw. Just binge-watched all 38 episodes in 2 1/2 days. Best thing I've watched in eons :)
Wow, watched all 38 episodes in 2 1/2 days -- ROTFL. Loved, loved, loved, loved this. A perfect cast, a very well-written script, beautiful opening and ending theme songs and a VERY satisfying final episode. Will be re-watching this at some point, and I rarely do that. An easy 10/10. Cannot recommend this enough.
OOOHH!! Thanks for the recommendation! I've been stuck after love beyond the grave and wasn’t feeling the other…
Hey, if you hate it, no worries. But hopefully you won't. I don't know what it is about it, but the ensemble cast is SO good, you fall in love with all of them, even the truly terrible ones. :) I just finished Episode 30 -- watched all 30 episodes in two days. VERY unlike me, and I'm soooooo freakin' busy with work. LOL.
Edit: Ooh and just added Hot Stove League to my watch list. Park Eun Bin is amazing in everything she's in, and Namkoong Min is one of my fave Korean actors. Thanks for mentioning it. I'd missed that one :)
I'm getting tired of too much useless characters and scenes… It feels more about the dramas of the hotel staff…
I'm watching The Outsider starring Vengo Gao and Zhang Yu Qi, and it's the same kind of slow burn (very similar story to TEoM, except the FL really stands up for herself and it takes place in a large company that owns shopping malls/hotels!). Again though, it's 38 episodes, so they have to drag it out to fill all that airtime.
I found, though, with The Outsider, once I started to get really involved with everyone else's stories as well (and I think they're actually done better in The Outsider than in TEoM), I've thoroughly enjoyed every minute of every episode. Maybe try that with this one?
What a shame. She becomes fabulous. But you'll miss it. (And honestly, I really don't understand people who watch…
Ah good for you. :) And honestly, she drove me nuts up until about Episode 12 and then she finally grows some balls :) It's well worth watching the earlier episodes though, even if you really do feel like dragging her through the TV screen and slapping her silly :) Come back and let us know if you can stand her up until about Episode 12 or 13, and then I think you'll love her :)
Don't forget too, she's spent 10 years as a housewife, was told by her parents to "never rock the boat" and, when she suddenly found herself without a home, money or a job, and then got the job at the hotel, she HAD to put up with a lot of abuse from her co-workers/clients as, if she lost her job, she might have ended up living on the street (after all, her parents are useless!)
Once she finds her footing at work, though, and begins to realize standing up for herself is her ONLY path forward, she's started to become really damn cool :)
So not feeling it. I hate women who are doormats. My stomach is churning over her taking care of him with his…
What a shame. She becomes fabulous. But you'll miss it. (And honestly, I really don't understand people who watch dramas and are upset that someone isn't "perfect". If every character was perfect, there would be no point to even making a drama. Makes no sense to me, but you do you.
Cane here from your comment at TEoM to discover I already watched this 3 years ago 🥲😉. Happy viewing!
Hahahaha, they all meld into one after a while, don't they? And yep, I am enjoying very happy viewing, thanks. Managed to watch 22 episodes in about 36 hours, then decided I needed to sleep :) Have a great day!
Obsessed with this. One of the best Chinese contemporary romance/work-related dramas I've watched in a long time. Brilliant ensemble cast, the FL and ML have superb chemistry, the writing is very good and... it's Vengo Gao :) Highly recommend, as every new episode just gets better and better.
Putting it on my "Plan to watch" list. Thank you! ~
It's sooooooo good :) At first, I thought the FL would get on my nerves, as she has a "distinctive voice" and is a bit of a twerp, even if she does stand up for herself :), but she grows on you pretty fast. I'm now on Ep 17. It's been a while since I've watched 17 episodes of ANY drama in 24 hours. LOL. But the story and the cast are fabulous.
Just a recommendation if you're missing The Epoch of Miyu over the next few hours :) - I just started watching the 2023 drama The Outsiders, which is VERY similar to TEoM -- except in this one the woman stands up for herself a bit TOO much :)
Had it on my watch list for ages, then started it because the business backstabbings in it reminded me very much of TEoM.
The ensemble cast is superb, the plot is engrossing and addictive, the FL and ML have brilliant chemistry, and I'm already on Episode 14 after starting it last night. Considering I have the attention span of a flea on cocaine, you can probably infer from that it's very very good.
Oh and it stars Vengo Gao, who is fabulous in it. And it's FREE to watch on Youku's YouTube channel if you don't have a YOUKU subscription.

Oh this is going to be glorious!!! Onwards to Ep 14.
