The ML is very different. For starters his name is Joo Hyuk and the brother of Min. He is also the opposite of KMC in behaviour as he is very by the book and not very flexible (which is why he is disliked by his superiors).

The two vote victims are also different people and KSJ has barely appeared so far and noone has really mentioned ties to his case so far (in the 15 chapters I read).

It's possible that KMC recognized her in the picture (I think his eyes looked at her position in the photo). But regardless, the next day he pulled her into the team, although he refused it not even 24 hours before.

The FL was on a photo of the last trial of Kwon Seok Joo (could be seen when Moo Chan looked it up). She was holding up a poster protesting something.


I translated parts of it: "Please punish the culprit who killed my parents harshly. [...] Whose side are you on? [...] Demand a harsh penalty."

She used KSJ's trial to protest, meaning she should be aware of who he is, and maybe that she lied regarding of how she got her knowledge.

- I doubt that they killed the ML so soon. I guess he is going undercover? The black-hat-mask-combo shown in the preview could suggest that
- Love the Killing Vote plot. It opens up a lot of questions regarding morality, justice and society/group dynamics. (I am also reminded of the Death Note scene where Light says to Ryuk that while everyone publicly denounces Kira privately they cheer for him. In this case many really do)
- I enjoy how they show the public respond to the Vote by basically making it an event with bets and public viewing.
- Love Park Sung Woong and his character <3
- While it has to be connected to KSJ, I'm not sure if he is actually involved.
- The sisters are entirely too codependent
- The habits of the FL kinda irritate me. That's why I'm not really invested in her. But her friendship with her computer-bro is cute and fun

Binged it in 2 days with barely any sleep. I was so caught up in it. It was a fantastic story, with some great acting (especially Liu Yi Jun, Liu Dan) and a very satisfying end.

There were tidbits of flaws or other trivia that I noticed (eg. the copaganda, especially visible since I watched a lot of kdramas which have police corruption as its norm 😂)

One thing I loved best was the response by the non-looping characters to those different events. With Captain Zhang as it's best example. It was great writing and acting of how different situations led to different reactions, moods and interactions by him with the main characters.

Also: Lu 'Apostle of Cats, Conqueror of Asthma, Chosen One of the Light' Di. Best Bean! <3

Fantastic season. I especially loved episodes 3 and 4 that were both a Tour de Force of writing and acting.

Short Episode 4 criticism:

Not telling Sung-A anything was just really stupid and led to such an obvious complication. I hope that decision makes sense regarding the wider plan. If not it's just a lazy trope.

Otherwise, I really enjoy the show. Lee Sung Min and Kim Shin Rok especially.

That would explain why he saw his own copy (similiar how GSY's ghost copy is Seen by the victims). Then it's also a possibility that the ghost was responsible for his last wish of GSY inheriting the hair accessory.

But how could he realize the ghost is a juvenile instead of the adult Shaman at that moment when he literally wrote 'the ghost is a juvenile into his own journal some time ago?

Also, we saw the girl but from the perspective of the one tying it into the hair of the girl

Just read up on it (The Story of Janghwa and Hongryeun) because I thought the same, but I don't see a direct link to it. Only the 'listening to ghosts and help them find peace' aspect that already came Up. And then maybe the 'girls suspected of being killer ghosts but actually being innocent' aspect which could tie into the Shaman is the ghost theory.

I think everyone suspects it because of the way it was filmed (at least that's why I do it)

The lingering shot of the 'juvenile ghost' line after asking what went wrong, and him suddenly understanding something. That's often a cue for the viewer that the thing shown is wrong or at least not the entire truth.

I guess it involves the past, and why the mother is utterly afraid and against the father.

Maybe the ghost tried to possess her already when she was a child, but it didn't work or she was freed, but the mother decided to remove her from that forever.

(My personal theory: The father let himself be possessed instead. Explains his copy ghost murderer+him removing himself from everything/-one)

Since his killer was his own Copy, my theory is that he himself was possessed and the ghost wrote his last wish of SanYoung getting the hair accessory.

She seemed to know a lot about the occult, and I thought his grandma was very suspicious. So maybe a family secret (that ties to the origin of the ghost maybe?)

Those are my guesses. +the ghost went after grandma after SY learned that Yeonmae Haesang would go to her. So additionally to prevent him from learning something?

Theory (because of the shaman flashback/Yeonmae ritual (?)): In the first episode Prof. wondered about why something was wrong and saw the 'ghost is a juvenile' note and realised something. I guess that's wrong and the ghost is an adult? Moreover the ghost of the shaman? And the sacrifice shaman ritual reminds me of the Goedam episode regarding the Yeonmae ritual. It's where someone steals children and intentionally starves them, before tempting them with food, stabbing them to death and trapping their soul (in a pot) to gain power. I guess that happened (but trapping them in the hair accessory) but something happened and the shaman got entangled/trapped herself

The comments below are very negative, so I'm putting a more positive one here:

I really enjoyed the show overall, it had a fantastic story (despite some flaws) with the Pied Piper villain and the moral complexities of living and existing in a world with many intentionally man-made tragedies. The acting was good (especially Shin Ha Kyun ofc), and I enjoyed many of the characters.

But the show has a very very large flaw and that is the colour grading. It's often very washed out or in some of the earlier episodes has a yellow-brown tinge.

But overall I rate it 8/10.

Yes, they succeeded.

Yes, he is. Basically a protegé/main helper of the boss. And his story is really tragic. He was kidnapped as a child by the boss, brainwashed, and then used as a killer. He thought he was alone/left behind by his family, but his parents never stopped searching for him. As his father got to close, the boss even used Ha Joon to unknowingly kill his own father. He learned about that in the finale. The whole thing was so sadistic, cruel and utterly sad. If you have time whenever it's really worth watching.

It's an evil organisation, with a really cruel man on top (similiar like Spectre in James Bond). The bad guys of the revenge cases were basically all members of that organisation and killed because of their failures.

I enjoy this season a lot more than season 1.
Fun cases, and better main villains with that organisation.

Seems to have 11. Seems MDL has some errors this time. The name of one of the FLs also seems to be wrong. Netflix (and Asianwiki) say Oh Kyung Sook instead of Oh Seong Sook
