I cringed at the lake scene of PA. The FL was great but the ML couldn’t even show proper emotions in that context. That was absolutely not memorable to me. The most memorable scene was when Shawn Dou had to watch his family and mum die on that platform. PA was a mess and was saved the the FL and 2Ml’s acting. Everyone was aligned on this when it was released
most people are mad about the age gap duh. she must have been 18 or 17 when they filmed and li yun rui is 29.
This is a different topic and it’s fine if people are uncomfortable about this. I’m talking about the debbie downers trashing it because it is supposedly sub par compared to PA.
Some of you are truly miserable and dishonest. This drama is objectively better than some of the over hyped dramas starring popular actors.
I remember very vividly the amount of hate Princess Agent got at the time but now y’all trying to shift the narrative and pretend that it was god’s gift. PA was addictive but it was an absolute mess (direction, cinematography, editing, cheap budget and stunts). What made it memorable was the FL’s charisma, Shawn Dou’s acting (one of the best performances I’ve watched in C dramas) and their chemistry. The ML couldn’t act and was called out for his subpar acting and lack of fitness.
Now, this drama has better direction, cinematography, better paced, better budget. The FL is not as charismatic as ZL but she is also MUCH younger and she portrays the obnoxious/bratty and feral character well (the way the book describes her). 2ML is disappointing but the ML is miles better than LG so not sure what you’re all complaining about.
This is not an intricate, romance-driven drama. This is meant to be entertaining.
The webtoon mafia is back…how about you don’t watch dramas based on your favourite webtoon if you can’t cope with changes? This is a drama and the majority of us haven’t read nor care about the webtoon
I would respect the FL more if she hadn’t demanded fully honesty and transparency from him when all she does is lie too. Girl, don’t ask something you can’t commit to either.
Side note: the ML is drop dead gorgeous. Like heart racing type of gorgeous. His eyes are truly captivating and he has those “vintage” features. Very photogenic too on screen. The FL and all the women are gorgeous but he seriously over shadows them all. Don’t know if he did anything to his face but the result is natural and just perfect.
She is a powerful woman in a matriarchal household. Probably, protecting him on her own terms felt like the best…
I think people are cutting her some slack because she is a woman. I would feel used, abused and betrayed if a man who claims to love me (she did by offering herself to him) would lie about something so critical which is my identity and just let me be at the mercy of everyone. She is pretty much keeping him hostage by not giving him the free will to choose for himself. Again, the context would be different if he was a child or a vulnerable person. But nothing could justify this type of “protection” when the person is a powerful and shrewd man.
There are people out to kill him and he has no allies except her.
And? He is a grown adult and she doesn’t own him. She has no right to withhold the truth while demanding he be honest with her. She saving him doesn’t give her that right. I can’t believe you’re actually defending the FL’s lies.

I get your point but if the genders were reversed I wonder if people who cut the ML some slack for hiding such an important secret while pushing the r person to consummate and commit. Surely, if she was ready to be intimate with him she was trusting him enough to be able to tell the truth. And her asking him to never lie. I’m really shocked that the FL is not getting more hate for her behaviour. She is an awful liar and a hypocrite.
