Watched Essence/Movie version from Fresh Drama, a little less than 4 hours.
Absolutely love it! It's so simple and cute, very little angst, and the misunderstandings didn't last long. Zhou Junwei was very expressive with his eyes, so adorable! My favorite scene was near the beginning when Cheng Mu took Jiang Sihan back to the shore of the fishing village to recreate the scene of their first meeting. When he mentioned how important smell was to memories, the moment when she smelled the rose he gave her, that moment where everything clicked for her was magical.
Oh okay. I actually kinda liked the graphics, especially the part when Kiyoka burned the Saimori house. But I get it, some parts were a bit excessively CG'ed.
While I loved the leads, I have to say I particularly enjoyed the characters of Mr. Lee/Mountain Spirit and Min Ji Ah/Cho Young. The actors were able to portray their dual personalities so well, as if they really were two different people. I usually don't like angst but I loved how tortured and complex Mr. Lee was. I can't condone his actions, but in a way, I understand and sympathize with him.
My absolute favorite had to be Min Ji Ah/Cho Young. Such an amazing actress!
Speaking of though, I have to say I'm not too keen on the latter half of the drama. The antics were getting ridiculous. If I hadn't binged it all within a few days, I would have dropped it after episode 9. The drama just became SO dramatic! I've only seen the first half of the webtoon before I went to go watch this, so idk if I'll feel different after finishing the webtoon. But it did get pretty draggy to me in the second half. The cute moments were so very good though, props to the leads for that.
I feel so bad for Yul though, i wanted him to have an LI too.
I couldn't have said it better myself! The first 5 episodes were just okay, so I had a time where I kinda left…
Same here, that's how I got through many long dramas, like Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion, the second part of Rebirth for You, Scarlet Heart (Chinese), Story of Yanxi Palace, Princess Weiyoung, etc. I have a bit of a low attention span when it comes to dramas with misunderstandings lol.
Yeah, I've noticed in event years that carats are increasingly more...obsessive? That's not quite the word I'm looking for, but I remember when I first joined the fandom, everyone was super chill.
Thank you for writing what I couldn't be bothered to write! I blocked this from my memory and didn't realize I hadn't even added it to my watchlist, much less updated it after finishing it. I had such high hopes: two intelligent doctors who divorced due to immaturity and misunderstandings meeting again years later after becoming more mature (or so I thought) for a second chance love. But noooooo. Instead, I got a headache and wanted to throw my snacks at every episode. And just when I thought "okay great, they're gonna be together", the last 2 episodes happened and made me want to chuck my laptop across the room in frustration. Ugh I was so mad at this drama, I wanted a refund of my time😅
Wow I must have blocked this drama from my memory! I'm just now realizing I watched it but never even added it to my watchlist, much less marked it as complete! Ugh the stupid misunderstandings were absolutely torture. It was due to my sheer determination to not drop yet another drama that helped me power through this absolute mess of a drama.
Since you've read it may I ask: How many chapters is the webtoon? Also, where can I read it?
It's about 130 chapters split into 4 connected stories (4 seasons/flowers). You can read it in the Naver Webtoon app. It's on a Daily Pass, but you can read up to 4 episodes per day for free.

Oh then I need to watch that because the ending pissed me off.
And lol I do the same thing with dramas! I don't like to officially drop things so I let them either languish in my watching list, or I put them in my on hold list and pretend they don't exist. And if I'm desperate enough, I scavenge for short clips of the drama until the ending scene, then go count it as completed cause I can't be bothered to watch it anymore 😅
Not entirely sure but do you remember in the first episode FL had a sidekick for a short while and he died? I…
Lol you're right, he IS too handsome to forget! 🤣 I watched Warm Time With You after WRTW and I remember thinking I'd seen him somewhere but I'm just now realizing that's where I saw him🤣

Looks like you weren't far off! That sidekick was Yan Yingzhou. Apparently Lin Yin An showed up around the 9 minute mark in Episode 1 as part of the blue wearing group of people trying to kill Yan Yingzhou and take the Empyrean token. You remembered it better than I did lol, I never even paid attention to his face because I didn't know him back when I watched WRTW lol
