Pete is not susceptible for manipulation I think. He is also a well trained bodyguard ofcourse. And he is very…
Yeah Vegas so far has been able to manipulate Porsche, Tawan, Ken and even Kinn a little bit. But he is finding out he will never be able to manipulate our Petey baby... Pete's just made different.
On another note, Vegas thinks and boasts that he can manipulate anyone and everyone. Because he thinks he knows everyone's darkest desires and weaknesses.
But the irony is (at least to me) that he failed completely on his first and so far only true psychological manipulation of Pete. He wanted to manipulate Pete to escape, wanted to make it seem like the perfect moment for Pete to abandon him and run far, far away from him and their safe house... But, Pete didn't take that bait, sure he thought about it, and was manipulated for a moment to run away, and give in to his wishes for freedom, but in the end, Pete didn't do what Vegas intended for him to do, surprising Vegas and his cynical notions once again...
Some place in my heart tellinge that pete also feel for vegas and he himself dont know that yet he thinking he…
Pete is too good and kind of a man to manipulate a broken human like Vegas... He empathizes with Vegas, likes him even, he feels sad for Vegas' misery, enjoys when Vegas is happy, trusts him to tie him up again when he is so vulnerable, in a naked position. Pete is falling in love too... with every every nook and corner of Vegas, the monster, the broken son, the brutal mafia, the shattered soul, the protective brother, the generous lover.. Pete is starting to love them all, unknowingly now, but definitely for sure he falling in love
I loved reading this 😭 you made the perfect analysis about Vegas in my opinion. I think he will get scared…
Yeah, that last scene of them, Vegas' face literally looked scared! He doesn't even understand now, doesn't realize it but he's falling in love... Pete is dissecting him open one vein at a time...
There's a serious power play going on between them. Pete might seem like the one being held captive but he's going…
And I don't think they are even doing it consciously or even realizing it!! It's so fun, because the audience can see it, see the changes happening, but both Vegas and Pete are oblivious!!
The post-coital moment of bliss for Vegas is so telling. Here is Pete, open-armed and smiling, because Pete just did something that brought Pete joy and he enjoyed it, loved it even. Pete is happy and it's probable that he even likes Vegas and Pete is totally fine with accepting this feeling...
On the other hand, Vegas looks at Pete first with a smile, then it drops and is replaced by awe and fear. Vegas is terrified, cause he knows that he is fucking catching feelings. For a man who didn't name his hedgehog, (because he knew it will eventually die and leave him) to not get attached, the feeling of love must be so scary. And it's this moment for Vegas after the sex, where everything in his brain is starting to fall in place piece by piece. He sees Pete, the man, (his lover even, now) his captive, who came back to him, who trusted him to tie him up (after EVERYTHING), is looking at Vegas and letting Vegas know, that he loved and appreciated everything with his big smiles, and it was this, this was the OH moment for Vegas... Vegas realized he has no way back, he is starting to lose his heart to honesty (which he mocked so disdainfully only days earlier), love and sympathy, and care. He can only stare at Pete, in awe, in reverence, unable to smile any longer, because he is so afraid!!!
When Vegas looks back, he will be able to pinpoint the exact moment when he knew that he was doomed, there was no returning.

But in the series Vegas, I am getting the vibe, that it'll be Pete, Pete's going to be the first choice. Always.
