Thinking Vegas and Pete end up together, makes me wanna throw up. And you're absolutely right, there is no justifying Vegas' actions this time. It's almost glorifying violence, like sexual violence against a domestic partner. It makes no sense. And add to that Vegas not feeling bad about it at all, then leaving a shot Pete in the warehouse, just to save his ass is unforgivable. His trusting Porsche, more than the man who gave up everything for him, is absolutely unacceptable. And this is NOT ROMANTIC, or even a complex story. This is just fucked up, and whoever liked/ enjoyed the chapter, and even the author needs a therapist. I mean I have fought for Vegas here against trolls and people who questioned the VP relationship. But after that chapter, I will say 100% this is ABUSE. Mental, and physical abuse, and Pete deserves so much better.

Exactly. The new chapter Vegas doesn't love Pete, he loves the idea of someone submissive loving, and accepting of everything about him. This new, novel Vegas treats Pete like an object instead of a human. And Daemi thinks that's what the readers feel is romantic or wants between Vegas and Pete. WTF. The author really needs to rethink her idea of relationships. If Vegas does end up with Pete at the end of this novel, I will genuinely lose my brain cells.

Maybe at a certain point, the author will redeem Vegas in the new novel. And just maybe the readers will forgive Vegas too. But my question is how will Pete be able to forgive and accept Vegas again? That scene literally felt like domestic violence and marital rape. So how will Pete recover from PTSD from such a betrayal of trust from two people closest to him, Porsche and Vegas? And that is definitely not love whatever Vegas has going on for Pete, it's like obsession almost, like a yandere. And Porsche's characterization literally makes him look like a complete selfish prick. I need Pete to get away from them. Like seriously, go to a therapist and quit that family forever. Maybe Macau will be hurt by Kim and Chay and come to Pete for comfort and Pete with his big heart will hold Macau while he cries and also let out how he feels in his relationship with Vegas. It's gonna start off between the two sharing sadness, and little bit of love until Macau literally can't go without spending time everyday with Pete and making him laugh. Vegas notices this and seeing how happy and comfortable his own baby brother and boyfriend look together, he burns with jealousy and yet is unable to do anything because he doesn't wanna hurt Macau.
