But they should know, cyber bullying and cyber harassment are both prosecutable, and if enough people report the same ip addresses, legal action is bound to be taken.
I don't understand how anybody can hate anybody in real life over fictional characters, let alone send death and rape threats. These crazy, weird people doing these things do realize right that these threats can be reported to the police, and that these all are criminally prosecuted crimes in every country. Your IP address can be found and you can even end up in jail.
