Loved this! Kept me wanting the rest of the story the whole time. Higher budgeted series and it shows. Most of the acting was really good. Too many loose ends for that ending though. Certain characters or points in the story were wrapped up too neatly or quickly, so it didn’t make any sense. Other parts had no conclusion at all. After The Only One situation I’m not going to bank on a S2, but I’ll be the first one watching if it airs!!
The series was enjoyable and well cast. The best scene of the series was in the last ep between the two leads. Their unspoken emotions and understanding were palpable. Kudos to the acting in that scene, the only part that made me cry. However, the lack of closure to the ending was a complete copout. Why spend sooo much time milking the contest and not the main leads story ending.
It’s like they tried so hard to hit all the main story points, but did it without any connectivity in between. The story itself wasn’t very strong anyway. Too few episodes to accomplish that because of the lower budget? Could have been a juicy/messy series, but it was a miss.
Gawin is so charming. Joss is hot! The series had issues but this unexpected actor pairing really carried the show through. The cast was enjoyable as a whole and made this a huge success. I was able to overlook story problems and just sit back and enjoy the performances. Congrats to everyone’s hard work! Can’t wait to see more Joss/Gawin!!
This was really fantastic! Story is filled with hard hitting realities and sensitive character portrayals. Congrats to all the performances! I really loved all of it and recommend!!
I am the only one here who gets Bao's feelings? I have been in this situation myself, as Ji Hun. I agreed to try…
I think you are right that Bao would interpret Ji Huns feelings for him in that manner after he read the notebook. I also think that once he read it, and later talked to Bao, Ji Hun got all the answers to the questions he’d been asking himself throughout the series about Bao’s behavior over the years. With the new realizations/understandings, his feelings may have become much clearer to him. I guess we will find out soon!
This is a beautiful slow burn BL piece that has really good storytelling at its heart! I’m really hoping for a second season for this because the story has room to evolve into so much more. At the very least it warrants special episodes.
I felt like Tale of a Thousand Stars was written and conveyed in a similar manner(even though the stories are completely different). It’s not a typical BL, the journey/story is its focus, but that’s what made it special to me.
This was an incredible and beautiful piece of film making. Actors were outstanding as well! Loved it from beginning to end and kept hoping for even more story. Highly recommend this! Note: Only flaw was the subtitles were way too small.
Basically a short drama commercial. I kind of get what they were trying to do with this, but it wasn’t really hitting right. Dangling Net/JJ, who everyone has long been waiting to see act together, and then them not be together was disappointing to say the least. Did they have chemistry? I thought there was some, but the short couple of minutes they had could not capture their potential. Everyone paired wrong, but I guess that’s what made it Black Valentine.
One of the best!! One more episode would have been a nice reunion addition. Thank you to the actors for their outstanding performances!! Congratulations to all involved! Quality stories and comprehensive execution of them will always have a positive response from the viewers!❤️
Unfortunately yes ;[ (they have too many actors in the company, so mostly only their actors play in their dramas)My…
True and thank you.🙏 With the other cast, it had a strong darker vibe. I really hope it doesn’t become a watered down cutesy drama after the move and cast change.
I really hope WilliamEst get paired again. The cast and story were fantastic! This had so many entertaining elements to it, that I have to say GMMTV outdid itself. Easily in my top 20 of BL favorites.
Sure, this series was lacking some depth, but it was fun, humorous and entertaining. I really enjoyed the cast! If the episodes were longer they could have provided more of what it was lacking. I still loved it and its light hearted entertainment value and fully recommend.
