Beautiful, strong, emotional story. Everything in this was just on point. Sometimes the pace was slow, but I can’t say that it had a negative affect on anything. In fact, I really can’t think of anything bad to say.
Gemini/Fourth have come such a long way in their acting. I always thought they were cute, but would now place them as top actors for GMMTV. They shine so much in this and convey all the emotions your meant to feel for this story.
Practically flawlessly filmed. You can tell the director, writers, and the whole production team really put their hearts into every concept of this series. One of the best! 10⭐️
I did like it. Yet I still didn’t feel that Pearls character loved him until much later in the series. I couldn’t differentiate his feelings between when he was conning him and fell in love because the actor didn’t give any variations in his performance.
The ending threw me because it didn’t flow with the rest of the story leaving us with lots of questions still. Almost like it was either rushed or they couldn’t write a well thought out one.
I also didn’t understand the ex and his friend. Why were they in their business all the time? I felt like those characters were just intrusive for the first 3/4 of the story.
Not the ending I would have given it, but still an interesting watch.
This was so utterly cute! I really loved all of their intimate conversations with each other. Really good choice of actors for this. Such a feel good series. 8/10
I really like simple short BL’s like this. They aren’t meant to carry a large plot line and tend to sharpen their focus on little things. This one was indeed about a sexual relationship that became something else. So of course there’s sex in it, and I thought the scenes were tasteful and somewhat conservative. Which is okay as long as it flows and fits with the story, which it does.
I appreciated the humor used to help bridge some of the awkwardness between the polar opposite characters, and thought the actors pulled it off.
I’ve never seen the source material for this story, but it seemed pretty well done and entertained me for an interesting, short while. Episodes are short so ride out the full series and you’ll see why it’s worth a watch!
I thought this was a well done adaptation of the novel. The novel is dark and toxic for sure, and even though they couldn’t depict all of what transpired there visually for the series, they did a fantastic job writing it pretty closely to the original story using well thought out scenes, imagery/symbolism. Actors were outstanding but an extra nod to Ayden for his emotional performance in this. He was a great pick for Lu Feng and I really believed his crazy/obsession in this.
I will say if you are a person who doesn’t like dark, toxic, red flag character stories, don’t watch. Then you don’t have to complain later and everybody is happy.
Genuinely enjoyed this one! Everyone did well in this, but I have to say Colin Duan was the standout actor for me. He truly embraced the bad guy character til the end. Beautifully filmed and the music was amazing!
I really enjoy this series. The story is well done, actors did a great job. My only criticism is that the work focus was so heavy and the relationships moments were too scarce. They even traveled together but it was lacking in intimacy(not talking about NC, though that could have spiced it a little). What should have been a hug was a hand hold, what should have been a kiss was a hug.
Really an excellent series! A wonderful group of actors(most from other series I’ve loved), great direction, beautiful locations, solid story. I gave this a 9 rating. Would have been higher, but the last episode felt like it needed a few more scenes for better explanations to important aspects of the story. I really didn’t feel there were any other problems with this series and I love a well told story!!
This is about as perfect as a drama gets. Loved it and was drawn into every minute. All of the pairs were amazing in both acting and chemistry. The beauty in the music and visuals/ photography was outstanding. I carried a lot of sympathy/empathy for even the villains which to me is the result of some really amazing writing. If I had to pick anything apart, I’d say depriving us of one more romantic interlude/kiss towards the end. Thank you for the scenes we did get which were the most of any Cdrama I’ve seen. They were appropriately utilized and really added to the overall aesthetic of this drama. 10/10⭐️
Thank goodness there will be a S2 because I can’t even cope with the way that ended. And how long will we have to endure til then? Can’t wait!! Loved this! Great story, well made, actors are a perfect opposite match. Can I say this was fun too? Because I sure had fun watching. 9.5⭐️
This series makes zero sense in every way. The brother getting revenge is a r#%ist, yet the innocent twin has no trauma and acts like nothing happened? This has to be the worst BL I’ve watched and I’ve seen almost all of them! 0 star rating
One of the better stories made this year. I was engaged with every minute when I binged this. Yes, there were some confusing timeline parts, but they didn’t confuse you for so long that it ruins your enjoyment of the series.
Actors had really nice chemistry and appeal. I really believed the characters they were portraying, enough to tear up in certain parts. Look forward to seeing them again.
I came here for Ta and Us and got so much more. The story itself had good substance to it, which kept it interesting even though its execution was simplistic. While all the actors did well, I did like Ta and Us as a pairing, so I hope to see more of them together. 7.5 ⭐️
This is my fav one! Well balanced, interesting story. Ngern and Oat were so natural in their acting, I believed wholeheartedly in the two of them. Both actors very strong and I hope they get their own series next!!
This script really didn’t know what it wanted to be, leaving this series very imbalanced. The plot was lost for a long time and episodes 1-7 were very mundane with a lot of unimportant scenes and dialogue. By episode 8 some things gets thrown into the mix, but at that point it’s not making sense to add. The last episode felt like it had ended 4 different times. Scenes were also drawn out way too long with too many large time gaps between dialogue responses leaving the cadence of the episodes way too slow.
Mainly I liked the cast. The main leads were sexy, had great chemistry, and were very comfortable/natural in their NC/intimacy scenes. I wouldn’t mind seeing them again. The second leads were also cute though they did not have much of a story to work with. 6/10
I just finished and now I want to sound off my frustration! That was so anti-climatic. The disservice they gave that beautiful, well acted, wonderful story really made me mad! Is that how you react to someone in that situation? I think not. Loved and ate up every minute until some over creative nut got in the way of that ending.
I liked the dynamic in this. The story was pretty well put together. The first half was comedic and then launched into realistic issues I. The second half. The ending was unnecessary to me, but I really enjoyed all the actors.
So happy to see the main leads together on screen again! Liked the story and the actors did a great job. Scenery was just beautiful.
There were a few drawbacks to this series:
The second couples story was way too underdeveloped. I was really interested in that pairing too.
The way this was directed/edited, I felt like the scenes and the actors moments kept being cut abruptly. Enough that it affected the overall tone. Each time I’d start to feel something in a scene, they’d cut or shorten it too much which left me lacking attachment to the whole thing.
The story had so much more to tell, and I did feel somewhat unsatisfied. I wonder if they tried to get a big cameo for the end but it didn’t go through? Enjoyed the reunion, worth it to watch!
