Park Hyung Sik is actually different, in my opinion, than he is in other roles he has done like Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Hwarang. His facial expressions are totally different and it almost looks like he holds his mouth differently. I think it was intentional to portray the character. Whatever he did, it is amazing and I loved his portrayal. Have not seen the American version, though.

I forgot to mention, I have seen the first two episodes of the show and I fail to see this ‘nothing but man hate’ you seem to see. I mean the show is a ridiculous comedy with caricatures of stereotypes in it. It is meant to be funny and not deep. I really think you are projecting your own issues onto this lighthearted show.

I am an American woman and I can assure you we are not angry all the time. Feminism is not about hating men, not real feminism anyway...it is about being afforded the same rights and privileges as men. Anyway, I think I will cease this conversation with you as I find you incredibly offensive. And no...I am not angry.

Ummmm South Korea is an incredibly sexist country, and since the Me Too movement has even spread there, there is a lot of backlash over how women have been and are treated there. It is not man hate....just women fed up with being treated like shit for so long.

He actually gained weight for his last role so he might be still losing the weight he gained from that. He was also going through an ugly, stressful divorce...

The FL irritates me so much. I am on episode 11 and am still not convinced she loves Jom, and am sick of the stupid between her and Pol. She does not deserve Jom, and Jom needs to stop being her doormat. Ugh.

Do not even get me started on the son’s worthless hide. That red headed girl needed to go away several episodes ago. She makes me want to repeatedly punch her in the face, lol.

I am only 3 episodes in and so far am so irritated by the restaurant manager that I want to slap her with a plate of pad thai. If, as other commenters say, the FL and her son get annoying later too, I may have to drop it, lol.

I am on episode 25 and she has already rejected him, so does this mean he keeps pressing on? Lame. Hate that drama trope. Also, how can he just suddenly switch gears on his so called true love and go after another woman like flipping a switch? Lol.

Yeah, I am enjoying it a lot. Their interactions are cute and not boring for me. I enjoy a good slow burn romantic comedy as long as the ridiculous misunderstandings, third party involvements and otherwise super angsty crap is at a minimum, heh.

You are getting remarkably defensive about a comment that was neither tearing down your post or your preferences, hahahaha! I am stating, rather factually, that one particular show does not belong in the list. It does have a breakup, though the stupid bit is when she goes back to him, and it definitely had some love triangle stuff going on. But more specifically, it is so vastly different from the other shows you mentioned that it seemed absurd to me that it would even be there. Anyway, unbunch your panties, no one said shit about you preferences nor was I tearing down your post. As a matter of fact, besides the one show I mentioned did not fit, the rest are great shows and of a similar vein. Oh except maybe Meteor Garden, but that is a personal hatred specifically for me. I loathe that story in all of it’s many many remakes and forms. But I know loads of people adore Meteor Garden/Boys Over Flowers...so I get why you recommended it.

He looks nothing like Cha Eun Woo...not even at a glance, lol.

Well Intended Love needs removed entirely from this list. It is so far from fitting the criteria it is unreal. It also is not fluffy, drama-free or light hearted. It is ridiculous, over the top, makjang as hell and has a seriously messed up ‘twist’. Ugh. Good to watch for some eye rolling, but otherwise does not belong in this list, lol.

I feel this is something recent dramas have borrowed from the Korean Reply series...they used goat sounds for comedic effect in all of those. Hilarious.

Oh, I agree. Haaaated the second lead, he was such a complete douche. He just liked keeping a lot of fish in his tank, never committing to one. Epic jerk.

The whole show is already on netflix and completely captioned. On Viki you will have to wait a long time for the subs. The Chinese show subs seem to have slowed down a lot lately on there. I understand that all of their subbers are volunteers, and I feel for them. Not an easy job. But since netflix has it all done, will watch it there first and any rewatches I will do on viki.

Ugh, seriously? I am on 22 and figured it was just a slow burn, but still a triangle is bleah with only 2 episodes left. I have been irate with the show for other reasons but wanted to see the two mains together at least. Might stop and just wait until it is all out on Viki and subbed, then just watch the end, lol.
