Here is a summary (omitted many details, and highly simplified):

Ep 1 - In the first five minutes or so, we meet the fl, who is a ghost and has been going through many reincarnations but always dying young. (the poor lady has bad luck). We find out she was actually killed by the ml a thousand years ago. We also meet the ml, briefly, who has been searching for her (or essence of her) and living in regrets for a thousand years. (Serves him right!)

Still in Ep 1 to now - it is a recap of what happened a thousand years ago

We find out the fl is actually a great being, about to be born. We also meet the ml, who at present is a weak immortal in the immortal realm (anybody can beat him), but in reality he’s a great being himself (true God) from the God realm but his powers are currently sealed. Not many know his true identity so he gets bullied a lot. He is currently a member of a sect in the immortal realm. The ml also falls in awe/in like/ in admiration with a princess who he thinks saved him from bullying (ep 1). The princess did not save him and she takes advantage of his kindness (shes a snake!). For the first 10 episodes, the ml thinks the princess is the best lady in the world and does things for her and lends things to her (the ml is not very bright, easily used and easily tricked lol).

Back to our main couple, the ml indirectly kills the fl to be born at ep 1 (let’s call her boss lady), and spent the next episodes trying to find her essence so that she can be born (note: when he had indirectly killed her, she shattered all over the place, so he’s trying to piece her essence together). He ends up doing that with, you’ve guessed it, the fl, who has been reincarnated but is currently a very low level mystical beast who has healing capabilities (Rather, the fl has some of boss lady’s essence). The fl doesn’t know she’s actually the boss lady. Nobody knows.

At first, the fl does not like the ml, and a master(ml)-servant(fl) relationship is placed upon them by the ml’s sect master to protect the ml from the fl (as I said earlier anybody can beat him, even the fl in her low level state lol). Right after putting in place the contract, the ml’s master ascends to God level, and leaves immediately the immortal realm for the God realm. So he’s out of the picture for now.

Our main couple go together on adventures to find boss lady’s essence and break their master-servant contract. The ml also realized that what he felt for the princess is gratitude (it took him 10 episodes to realize that, but he’s still very clueless about her not being a good person).

Back to our main couple: Unexpectedly the master-servant contract is broken. They can now fall in love, and they start to. Our main couple are officially together (ep 12), but by ep 13, trouble (in the form of many against them, and their relationship) in brewing.

Where did I write I expected everything resolved within one episode. She met Hong Yi and her lover. Hong Yi should have thought she acted weird, same with her lover. She was acting unlike she usual self/speech. So what if she’s not close with her nephew? They have lived hundreds of years as far as I know.

I have to wait until 18 of 24 for her to improve 🧐

I think I am going to put this one on hold. It is not grabbing my attention like Eternal Love and Love and Destiny. Some of the characters are so dumb. I also don’t like the plot with the aunt being possessed and nobody noticed.

I’ll wait for more episodes to be released and for that past thousand years recap to be over!

These immortals have lived thousands, if not, hundreds of years and yet they can see the truth unless you spell it to them. Like, it doesn’t struck you that your aunt is acting uncharacteristically weird? And to the lover, it doesn’t struck you that your lover is acting weird? They almost never questioned anything and just roll with it. Argh

This is the comment section, and the purpose of it is to post comments. I saw your comment about cgi being very good and I wanted to give my two cents. It’s as simple as that. Finding faults with Zhao Liao dramas? What does my comment have to do with her? I was commenting on the cgi and not the actress itself. As for as I know, she was not in charge of special effects.

TTEOM is a 6 for me. I didn’t like the fl. She spent the entire time hurting and betraying the ml. I never felt that she loved him. The ending was rushed and was not that great. It was not an epic xianxia to me like eternal love and love and destiny

I really made a mistake watching the previews, now I don’t care about ep 13-17 and just want to go straight to ep 18. I wish I could play snakes and ladders with this series, but noooo, we are only getting 1-2 episodes a day! SMH

Amin, stop lying, CGI is not very good. lol. Whenever they are flying they are barely moving, and the fight scenes are confusing. At one point, the ml even appears to be doing some randoml moves with no direction. It was too funny.
