CGH can’t accept that he was wrong, he can’t accept that the person he hated all these years isn’t responsible for the crimes. From here I only see him spiraling into a worst character. Also I won’t forget what the emperor put NH through. Regardless of what chancellor gao did, how can you treat your own child like that?

Not only did he get stuck being the chancellor that took a Princess by force, he also has her plotting against him at every corner. I also disliked how these two are enemies to lover but she was leading him by his collar. What makes these push and pull cunning characters enjoyable is that you never truly know which one comes out on top. It’s supposed to leave you at the edge of your seat but the writers ruined the ml and the fl is kinda dumb 🫠.

I also believe he has all right to be mad but he’s so fixated on the outcome that he never looks at any situation with his brain. He’s so hot headed, he’s willing to believe chancellor Gao and not NH. How in anyone’s mind could you believe that a 9 to 12 year old carried out a murder of a empress and her guards. Even if it was NH fault wouldn’t he have gotten helped from his adult family member with power. CGH needs to stop for a minute and he’ll see this mess for what it really is.

Honestly I don’t think he’s one of the final bad guys but I guess we’ll know in a couple eps. The thing with the tangerines was chancellor Gao leaving evidence for CGH to find. He wants him and NH to fight. I believe NR really sees CGH has family, it just sucks that he doesn’t see his own brother that way.

Exactly!! Anyone with enough cdrama political knowledge knows how cruel the fight for the throne gets. Even if his brother doesn’t want to kill him, some of those same officials would go behind his back and off NH. A lot of the officials that follow him are also persons who are loyal to his uncle. It’s not that easy to wipe all of that clean. If this wasn’t a drama many of them would’ve switched sides with the move NH made.

It’s kinda nice and different, a damsel in distress ml but he fights his way through.
