Kim Nam Joo carried the show with her acting, because she's KIM NAM JOO. She has consistently brought high ratings with all her dramas. People tuned in to watch her drama comeback, PERIOD.

The kind of ignorance,lack of taste and discernment you choose to display when you mention the acting of the person you talk of as evidence of anything good of skillful in terms of acting, in comparison to KIM NAM JOO's acting is an insult to her. KIM NAM JOO, and only KIM NAM JOO, carried the drama.
The ending was altered because Kim Nam Gil had to report for mandatory military service immediately. The fact that he was filming was irrelevant to the military. The production had no choice but to cut the drama by three episodes...

Most viewers regress to the mean, expecting the average and ordinary storyline. Anything outside of that formula, and they cannot process!
The strength of KDramas is in these storylines that lie on the extremes; the not so straightforward, not outrightly happy ending types.
I may have wanted a slightly different ending, but I graded the drama as objectively as I can. That's what the grading system asks for. Most here do not.
I expected a typical slice of life: the quiet vibe of Tell Me You Love Me, or the "escape to the countryside to catch your breath and recover" vibe in Meet Yourself. From the trailer I had to revise my expectations of the tone. Is it's tone appropriate for the story? ┐( ˘_˘)┌
I would have liked what I expected; quiet, kinda miserable, but renews strength to fight because they moved to a different environment, not over-acted vibe... I'll have to make do with this bold, loud, fast tone. It's is not too bad.
But the shouting! Make them stop! Turn down the volume!😳😳😂😂
I'm still enjoying it though. The acting is great, the flaws of the drama are squarely on the writer.
This drama is simple but so good! It's the type that can easily go wrong but so far it's been well executed. (Hopefully they keep it up because those episodes are many)
