It can be a bit dramatic at times but overal it was a entertaining watch. i've seen worse cdramas. you def should try the first 3 eps and see if you want to continue.

I did some searching and not much like it out there. The most similar I could find is The Three Kingdoms: Rebirth, Evil School, 428: Shibuya Scramble, and Mandate of Heaven/Toward the Northern Realm but I haven't actually played these myself.
If you don't necessarily want a FMV game, I do recommend Life is Strange, a date with death and Volcano Princess.

ps be careful when searching through the FMV games, most are nsfw
