Finished this in 3 days and I enjoyed it. Much better than Kunning Palace I feel.
I tried watching Kunning Palace but I didn’t feel it for some reason, so I dropped it.

I get that perspective. I just didn’t like that she got people killed while acting innocent and making the emperor seem like the only bad person. At least the emperor didn’t hide that he was cruel regardless of what made him to be.

What about after understanding what happened and falling in love? Especially after knowing his trust issues and why he wants to acquire the world? She still let that crown prince go, and met with her ex.

Probably true as her character was fiction and not shown in history.

Fusu was the successor in history, and the emperor didn’t have a queen which I find very interesting and tactful given that it would have given him problems and delay his plans.

Also remember that in those times once the king has eyes on you, your future is sealed. So my point is, she was a hypocrite who claimed to not want people to die in her name while she acted recklessly putting people’s lives at risk.

I get that, however, she knew that she’d be putting her loved one at risk too for a death sentence. Remember that they made an agreement. There were many ways to get him without getting pregnant. Not sure if you watched Empress Ki. The FL there used emperor’s love to gain power for her country and people. L’ier had a fickle heart, she fell in love with the enemy after the man she loved rejected her for having the king’s kid, so if he could not stand, why would the king stand it? Speaking of them just being men.

It is 2017 drama thats mean it is filmed 2016! At this time cdrama was not so popular! A low budget drama. How…
I think everyone did a great job. The director/writer added fiction seamlessly.

Would love to see the ML in a similar role again.

Title The King's Woman Spoiler
Great series with a decisive emperor. My comments about the ending below:
I totally understand why the had to end like that:

1. Historically there was no L’ier, this put was beautifully added fiction to dramatise the series.
2. The emperor had trust issues.
3. L’ier actually “betrayed the emperor. She was asked for 3 months knowing that after that she will be wedded to the emperor. But she slept with a man she has no future with (knowling).
4. She’s found out that she’s not a virgin and pregnant, she defends the man she lied to about going to the palace.
5. She knows the emperor was jealous. She escaped and caused unnecessary deaths but was not accountable.
6. How will the emperor trust that she didn’t sleep with the man she claimed to love while still refusing him?
7. Emperor was jealous of her apprentice whom confessed to love her, she ignored it. He kept complaining.
8. She disappeared again.
9. She let the CP of Yan escape knowing the emperor has trust issues.
10. After falling in love with the emperor she still didn’t reassure him she won’t leave.
11. In reality, no man forgets cheating or betrayal by the woman they love.

I’ve taken a break though from kdramas, I’m loving how Cdramas tell a story and educational.

Thank you, will do.

I’ve a few kdramas. I have many historical faves, such as Empress Ki, The Red Sleeve, Jumong, King Gwanggaeto (very good strategy wise, their strategies apply in today’s world), Queen of Seven days. Haechi, The Princess man, Kingmaker, King of tears: Lee Bang Won (but watch six flying dragons first).

I trust your recommendations to be good, thank you so much. I don’t feel alone now in this new Cdrama world. I’ve lost sleep watching Chef Hua, and now I’m on the last episode of New Life Begins🙈
