Thank you so much for sharing the historical facts, I’m fairly new in Cdrama land. And I have been fascinated by they keep reminding their population of history. And it’s something I wish my own country can do. So generations to come do forget where they come from and that things can change at any minute, so everyone must stay informed and ready.
I heard briefly about how cruel the Japs were but didn’t know to these extent. It’s something that’s very hard to forgive, I understand.
Makes me wonder, if they aren’t preparing something behind scenes just for one day war breaks again. I doubt such cruelty will be destroyed completely.

“ What is pornography? For many people, any attempt to define the word pornography calls to mind the oft-quoted line from Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart in 1964: “... I know it when I see it.” While compilers of dictionaries might wish to be granted such latitude in explaining the meaning of certain words, they are held to a higher standard. Pornography, which has been used in English since the middle of the 19th century, comes from the Greek pornographos (“writing about people who engage in sex acts for pay”), and initially referred to visual or written matter designed to cause sexual arousal, a meaning that is still the most common one employed today. Pornography has in recent years taken on an additional, non-sexualized, sense: one that refers to a depiction of sensational material (such as violence) in order to elicit a reaction. The phrase “pornography of violence,” for example, began to be used in the early 1950s.”

After starting cdramas and watching a few, I’ve taught myself to not focus on romance on stories about real history.
That way I enjoy the history and storytelling.
Then I ended up forgetting to go back after getting used to dramas in that period.
