I really like both leads and have watched many of their previous dramas. You would think having them both in one drama would make it twice as enjoyable. But it’s not. I’m on ep 5 and I still can’t get into it. It’s so bland. Does it get any better? I really don’t want to drop this but I don’t know how much more I can tolerate. In theory this should be exactly my kind of drama but so far it’s been a major fail for me.
I didn’t start watching dramas until end of 2016 but I agree 2015 was a good year. Pre-2016 dramas are what made me fall in love with Asian dramas/ culture. Although there are many good dramas nowadays, older dramas somehow hit differently. It was more about the feelings/emotions and less about glossy productions.
I still come back to the comments of this drama every year without fail and drop a comment. I still can't forget…
I totally agree. I watch it while it was airing and have rewatched it once a year since then. I can't believe it's already been 5 years! Very few dramas have been as captivating as this one. The only one that has come close is Twenty Five Twenty One. I didn't like the ending in that one though.
Haven't seen Agency but I enjoyed Why her? very much. This one is more office drama and much lighter. They're both amazing dramas but not comparable except that they both have leads with an age gap.
Lovely article. I enjoy watching the friendships in many of dramas you mentioned. A recent one I liked was King the Land. FL and her friends supported each other through all the ups and downs in life.
I love FL. Her being petty in the raw milk scene was hilarious. This show should be rated much higher. I’m so glad I’m watching it even though it’s not a typical genre I watch.
As much as I like Im Si Wan or other actors who take this kind of characters, it's becoming ridiculous for me…
Younger actors, while they maybe talented are also inexperienced. I can understand having real teenagers acting in supporting roles but for leading roles they may not always be the best choices as it might be tough to portray the nuances of a role as well as a seasoned actor. As long as the actor looks young enough, I really don't mind. It’s pretty common in all countries.
her skin is like glass in netflix variety shows where they don’t have filters. I suggest u take a look
Do you mean just the parts where she was shown as a teen or overall? If it’s the first, it could be an effect to make her look younger. I don’t really see it. She looks the same as in her other dramas.
Stellar cast indeed. Unfortunately most of them are billed as reincarnations so I'm guessing they each have relatively short screentime depicting each of the 13 lives. But SIG is the lead so that's good enough for me to watch.
I loved One and Only but this one not as much. I’m happy the leads got some happiness but there’s not much to draw me in. It feels very bland. 5 episodes left, I doubt it’s going to get any better at this point.
