Ahhh, the mention of Silent instantly triggered my 2024 trauma era—a time when I was unknowingly on a mission to turn my tear ducts into overachievers. I’m not even going to start name-dropping the other emotional landmines I walked into… Let’s just say I now flinch whenever I see a drama poster with a single tear and soft lighting.
Move to Heaven? Its been making rounds on my "Suggested for you" but The moment I see the word Heaven, my thumb develops a reflex to smash the Next button. Earth is already chaotic enough—why am I voluntarily heading to Heaven on a weeknight?? 😂
But seriously, thank you for reminding me of this gem of a J-drama. Watching it felt like standing in front of the fridge at 2AM on a summer night—just that oddly soothing peace.
Also, I don’t know what it is, but I have a soft spot for stories about people with disabilities—especially ones that explore blindness or muteness. Maybe because they’re often tucked away on the drama shelf, only to be pulled out when someone feels inspired. But when done right, they hit straight in the chest… and stay there.
Re-reading my review I wonder if I overreacted. LOL. As you can tell, I had very strong feelings towards this…
Hahaha,it can happen to the most of us,I do sometimes go back to my old reviews and ratings and a times I don't like what I see or what I wrote,so absolutely understand..Am watching it lightly, not invesed i mean,I found myself scrolling Mark's busy Instagram while this drama was running in the background,I don't know why I feel some type of way when am watching a drama with a lead who is married, yes I know that time he was dating his current wife but still ruins my delulu in shipping the leads,I feel like am part of the "cheating" process 😂😂 Anyhow I will actually watch the episodes you mentioned that you enjoyed the most.Thank you for taking time to share these recommendations,I have been looking far and wide for them..I watched My Cherie Amour,my first TH drama other than F4 BOF
As someone who is not ashamed to watch a 2020 drama in 2025 I hear you.I still hit as far as 2015 unbothered I have been in search of at least a Thai drama that doesn't have characters that do not match with my values, someone suggested this one and the first half episode was confusing as I tried to find who is the FL lol..cos she seemed to be all over the place while screaming in a school uniform..I was like this can't be our FL Anyway,I have probably watched one or two Thai dramas in this lifetime..am trying to at least have five ony record The setting and the backdrop of this one is giving me hope due to it's beauty but am not too attached so I will probably skipp all the angry birds moments.
I know am 10 years late , though I enjoyed the drama, skipped the breakup episodes,am I the only one who felt weirded but the hospital wedding where the FL is in a coma?Even Reddit can't answer this 😂
You nailed it, @Nelly. I wasn't going to mention OMV. This would really pale into insignificant. 😉
The standard was too high, the bar is up there that we can't help but compare with the blast from the past..But they(writers) need to hear the hard truth and it might actually set them free
Whenever I read your reviews..I feel like I have already watched the drama and that's all I need.. Especially when it's one that has tanked. So in conclusion we can say that whoever wants to do weight-loss, health conscious trope should borrow the brain of whoever wrote Oh My Venus?
What a beautiful way to save me from digging into yet another flaming disappointment of 2025. I had actual hopes for this one… mostly because Kang Ha Neul was involved (yes, I showed up for the face—nojudgement 😂).
RIP to yet another dream I had for food porn greatness. And by “food porn lovers,” I mean me. Just me. I carried that dream alone.
At this point, should we just accept that no one’s ever going to replicate Jo Jung Suk’s Oh My Ghost magic? That frantic, on-the-clock kitchen energy that made you want to throw your diet and dignity out the window just to eat what he was cooking? Or Zhao Lusi’s Dating in the Kitchen—pure visual serotonin. Do I even dare bring up Gap Han Yu's Dine With Love, which actually respected the concept of running a food business instead of just romanticizing a plate? Yes that's me flexing with name drop 😂
This is an open letter—nay, a plea—to the directors of 2025 dramaland: we don’t want mindless popcorn fluff. We want art. We want soul. We want at least one drama that won’t make us regret sacrificing our precious sleep and sanity.
We’re giving you hours of our lives. The least you can do is serve us something that doesn’t feel like a reheat.
I tried to watch up to episode 9, but I found the General's dialogues and his story boring, it didn't catch my…
You sound like my friend..I told her to watch until her annoying family leaves and her journey with the ML starts..you won't leave your seat..that's exactly what happened..she cleared 56 episodes in 48 hours
Ok... I am sold!I wanted to check this out but the reviews were mixed. But after reading yours, I think I'll give…
Hahaha thank you for being a client sold by my long rumbling. No.. actually mentioning those dramas doesn't mean I don't like them..it means Youth drama directors have failed to replicate these master pieces..L&P was probably my first Youth drama and I loved it..so is Forever Love,Wang Anyu is one of my favourite C-drama actors. I haven't watched WIFTY and Lovely Runner just because I tend to steer far away from over popular dramas.. I hope you enjoy Close to You as I did..am a sucker for something different.
What a wonderful review! Thank you so much for doing it. I feel ya. ;) The stock standard youth drama is exactly…
Wow..Thank you..I finished it yesterday and didn't want to marinate it,I wanted to write a review based on fresh emotions. Yes the ending is the only time you question the writer which is a relief but not in away that will make you skip the whole drama. It's a type of ending whereby the viewers and the writer have had their closure but the director thinks it's a good idea to "man-explain" himself ,if you know what I mean..You go like "was this scene necessary? but gladly it's just technically in the last 4 minutes before credits roll-out..

Anyway, loved your review. Brilliant as Always
