I just finished the Director's drama "Close To You" and me staying away from highschool dramas ended with this one..it was actually good..so I guess he knows his stuff..I Wil check this one out
Great take on a show that had all the meat and juices.Stepping into the world of J-drama is like walking on a minefield..you don't know when common sense will be blown up but this show despite it's usual Japanese "titling" kept getting saner and saner.I just kept thinking "His character can't develop from a scumbag to a good guy,he is supposed to stay in the original arc" how would the writer turn the table that is already set? But he did and in a uncanny way. My only negative take is that I feel like the writer played too simple and too safe..If he had turned the ML into the FL's personal trainer,that premeditated punch could have found an entry point and it would have been a vision to behold..That's just me thinking like an unpaid writer 😂

I hate people like Chu Qu who have a door mat character.You will do yourself nonfavot if you decide to "suffer" just because you are in the friendzone..not only in the friendzone but you see your love interest going through life majestical while it feels like your job is to wait for them. And I hate characters like Zhang Tian Hao..

wow here comes triggered nation..unless we watched a different show..she was really drunk and she kept mentioning Jiang Bohang, clearly the man who was in front of her blurry vision was her love not her friend..
Agreed. The main leads got their HEA, but poor development of the end of the series really messed with my head.

You are onenof the few reviewers who are like a lighthouse in the sea of dramas that are anywhere near 2025.Yes am in the drama slump era and unashamed to say that am digging anything as long as it gives me butterflies to justify the wrong decisiona of my life..
Now we know why the Chinese drama industry is going where it's going..produce what sells by using who sells the most no matter their questionable talent
It's a positive thing..I just didn't word it correctly..He is calm,cool and very handsome,you wouldn't think he has done many dramas where he portrays strong or cheeky characters
This drama is pretty average. If it's not because I like the ML so much, I would rate this a 7.5.
I watched the first two episodes,then combed through in the middle and last part,there were like two parallel worlds,she was over hypedvand he was like in another script..
I have tried it twice,Am a fan of Lee Jong Won but maybe I shouldn't have tried it after watching him be cool BFF in XX,maybe but the FL character just didn't glue me on the screen
I have been looking for a Lee Jong Won modern dramasand after enjoying his second lead in XX(should check it out if you haven't) I have had this on my PWL but I tried twice and I couldn't get past the FL's bad written character (excessive reactions) and these two ajhumas..

I found it on bilibili but not a good quality
I think the difference is that the ML in BP was also mid hyped but Lee J.W was really introverted with a hometown boy deminure.
