Wow ,I found the 9.5 rating from the Shī fu. The drama that made me fall in love with China I wanted to move to Dali and in my mind I just live there..
I tried this drama but I think I judged the FL quick..it's one thing to be cold,it's another to be frozen..I went in cos of the scenery and the set-up (I love me some hometown tropes) Seeing that you gave it a 9.. should I give it another try?
This is the only cdrama I have watched twice..maybe because am in love with Elvis Han.. I mean his acting 😂 The CP carried this show,I skipped most of the mambo jambo the second time round but their relationship was an amazing journey..no clichés just two adults hitting it off and not afraid to express themselves..They didn't trip and fell into each other arms, they walked the journey.. especially the ML.. I would recommend his 2024 drama set in Taipei "Begin again" another beautifully done show
My dear boy Before we get married Lost Romance Breeze by the sea Behind your smile Lesson in Love
Taiwan has hidden gems when you find them ,they are extremely well done..I agree they can't compete with the big brothers. What I love about T drama is the down to earth feeling you get..they feel like they made for normal people
I don't remember what I didn't like about this one but I think there was something.. By the time the Trailer was out,I was over the moon, that finally we get reversed roles..with a domineering tough female CEO..was getting tired of having the same rich boy/poor secretary trope. It was a slow burn which I don't mind but I felt like I needed kick but type of action..I needed extremes on both sides..Am thinking "the devil wears Prada" type..or Maybe I needed a 36 episodes drama where she would be just ruthless for 10 ep..and he would be miserable then he would take charge and soften her.. It's in my head 😂
I have noticed that Japanese overuse the word "what" especially FLs.you might think they have hearing impairment..am like "girl we all heard what he said"
Thank you for your comment and take the time to read my super long review. 🤣 This drama is not an easy watch.…
Hahaha..it's alright Am maturing bit by bit..I used to solder on with a drama but nowadays I just let it go midway if I feel like it is disturbing my peace .the reason why we bury ourselves for hours is to avoid the outside stress after all. For Chinese dramas the acting us always sub-bar,and the visuals so it's just the narrative that didn't sit well with me..I didn't get how the lead character would be all women empowerment when she is blinding herself from what's happening in her house? Burlt as they say dramas are just our realty, there are many women still doing the same,we all been there..with a front façade while our houses are burning 😂 It us what it is and please don't be sorry..this my own psychological warfare going on in my head
Thank you, @Nelly for your comments. Unfortunately, that's a lot of Asian dramas in a nutshell. Most are tropey…
50+ épisodes is the reason I don't watch historical C-dramas except Love like the Galaxy But My Father is Strange was sooooo good that I didn't even notice. I think it has to be a really hit from episode 1 to 50 to be able to survive.. It's one of those thing you watch slowly in between other shows

I don't know how it came to me but I have seen the ML in My little happiness and I went in without reading reviews or comments cos it was new..I rarely watch fresh dramas but the moment I pressed play.. Everything I was watching became irrelevant..I went through those episodes like I was being paid..
I was watching "Game of true love" one of the best production I have ever see..of cause anything Fan Zhi Xin is,sign me up. Anyway back to Wanna Be..I have been in Asian drama kitchen since 2017 and I don't think I have seen any one do Fashion industry theme. And it was well done.. But If I was to give an award that would be to the casting director and creative director..They did wonders.
I personally don't care much about the like of First Frost,The best thing or White olive tree(I dropped it) I feel like we are not growing,we are using the same popular actors, the same tropes, the same storyline.. I need something to hook me up and leave me questioning my existence without breaking my heart into pieces(I see you Angels cry sometimes)
Anyway I can talk about dramas the whole day 😂 I have seen Eagle brothers on my Recommendation..I will have a look. Am currently going back and forth between "Once Again" "What happened to my family"and "It's beautiful now" all K-dramas.
I would recommend"My Father is Strange" and "I heard it through the grapevine " these two made me sink into the hole of family dramas
