I rewatched it recently and felt it was like weird in the last episode after ShiYi woke up from a coma. I assume she was in a coma for months maybe not close to a year but I assumed she would have lost some of her motor skills (eg. Walking, talking etc ) because usually when in a coma, one’s brain stops sending signals to the muscles and thus one “loses the ability to do a certain motor skill” . Hence, the individual would then have to learn how to walk again or talk through or other motor skills through therapy. It bugged me that she was back to normal up and running like right after a coma, it didn’t make too much of logical sense.

Title Checkmate
I hope the Fl character is not as irritating as the one in MRIAD. In my experience, idk why almost all shows with a trio like two main characters and a “main” character always ends up in me wanting to scrap that”main” character because that person character just drags me out of the story

I do have to agree with this review. I also am not a complete fan of chinese romcoms. Typically, because they are a little to cheesy to my liking, has cliched plots and usually are boring. I did drop this drama certainly within 12 episodes of watching. Also, I do appreciate realism in dramas and how they are portrayed. You could give a realistic situation but film it in such a way where it becomes unrealistic. Also, the plots in here were a little too cliched for me so I did drop it. Just saying, this drama isn’t my favourite type of genre, having had previous unwanted experiences of watching dramas with plots that really make me want to cry from irritation.
IMPORTANT NOTE : This is my personal opinion so please don’t attack me for it. I appreciate everyone’s views whether I agree with it or not.

This was one of the most hilarious reviews that I ever read. I tried watching this drama 3 times and finally decided…
Thanks for the clarification! :) I’ll change it in my review. Also, I am real glad you liked my review. I tend to like to write about dramas in a more comedic way but in all seriousness, it is actually true. (What happened in the drama) Actually, the last situation I wanted to write but held back on it was the part where the female lead’s friend walked in to her hotpot shop after some sort of mental breakdown. (After complaints about her hotpot shop) Then, she screamed get out at the customers and the workers. And I went NANI? WHICH BUSINESS OWNER DOES THAT? She perfectly exemplified the perfect qualities of a boss of a hotpot shop right after getting a complaint. *Sarcastically spoken*

how is this connected to "One and Only"? like I don't see a bridge between two stories, other then the characters…
To my best of knowledge, it was a reincarnation story. And that one and only was the first life of them both and forever only was the second life of them both. And so, in the second life, one of them recognises the other as the one who she/he loved in the first life.
The reason they put it into two dramas instead of one is to pass censorship in china so they could air it.
This is as best as I know of. Sorry if it is not enough…
Hope it clears up some doubts!:)
