Title The Long Ballad Spoiler

Oh yeah, I've seen them both. They were good. So far, my fav is The Double, Joy of Life, Rebel Princess and Love Like the Galaxy. Oh, I like Nirvana and Fire, too. That's for historical Cdramas.

With this series, it was a bit of a let down for me. I would have rated this higher, but I didn't like feeling robbed whenever an action scene showed up. This series was 49 episodes, and 40 of them were about people looking for a person, place, or thing. As soon as they find one person, now they need 6-20 episodes to find another.

I did like that it took a different approach to the usurping of the throne where the guy who stole it was the better choice. And she had to learn the lesson her mother taught her about not hating people. I liked the lessons that she learned and the journey she took, but this series could have been 24 episodes to tell the same story. A Kdrama could do it in 16.

Yeah, I agree. That staged fight should have been shown so we could see how it was done. I mean, I already accept that they try to play off 100 soldiers for thousands for these sparse fight scenes. I get the budget for actually having 1000s of extras is too much. But if the scenes are excited and well choreographed, I'm happy. This series, I think only one action fight scene was halfway filmed and that was the one where the FL wanted revenge against the Bear clan for killed her friend.

What were the other two you mentioned? Not sure about the abbreviations.

I get that, but as a viewer, I felt robbed. I have to sit through so many talking scenes and when the action is about to kick off, I want to be rewarded with some cool fight scenes. It happens so much that I am just finding it annoying to where I fast forward past the still animated photos. The artwork is nice, but just not what I'm here for.

I'm going to be honest, I didn't start watching this one for the plot, what little there is. Most of these slice of Life shows don't need to be more than 4 episodes long. I don't care about your run-of-the-mill office job. I don't care about your board meetings and if you got the report in on time. So, I need something extra. Mainly a mystery plot or thriller and plenty of action.

This series wasn't like that, no intrigue, or mystery to solve and fight scenes from spies, agents, or assassins. Just two men having hot sex. Still didn't need to be 12 eps long. Not enough story for all of that.

You know, if she hadn't been so damn nosy in ep. 25, she wouldn't have been caught in that predicament and dude wouldn't have felt compelled to do what he did.

Also, as soon as those betroth gifts showed up, I would have gotten married to my childhood sweetheart, because Commander Li has a wild obsession and a history of getting the emperor's permission.

I hate when characters make these dumb ass choices claiming it's for "the best" and they hope the other person can find "joy and happiness" without them.

Like, that person loves you more than anything. Do you honestly think they'll just move on and forget about you?

In this case, she'd rather break his heart, make him jealous, confused, and possibly stuck having to be obligated to marry a woman he doesn't want all because she doesn't want him to know what she suspects is the truth about his parents. And she humiliated him publicly.

Like really, broad, you're doing more harm to him than that will.

Title Princess Agents Spoiler
Okay, I'm on like, ep. 37 I think. Anyway, If Yan had listened to those hints instead of obsessing about taking the FL away from the ML he could avoided a lot of drama.

If he had listened to his people when they FIRST tried to get him out of the city, he would have avoided drama. But instead, he was obsessed with the FL.

If he had taken the opportunity to leave earlier and get his family out of the city like he was trying to get the FL and her sisters, they'd be alive.

His obsession with the FL, a woman, who at that time, barely tolerated him, is what got him caught up.

Let's get to her. She claimed she had to go back for her sisters. She hasn't thought about them sense. Three years have gone by and she hasn't even looked for them. They don't even appear on screen anymore. Did she forget they were supposed to exist?

Male lead could have avoided the backlash had he'd not been so tighlipoed about the plot. I know he's a spy and the Keeper of Secrets, but as a friend, he should have at least said "you need to get your ass back home before it's too late. I can't go into details, but you need to trust me and leave now." Then look at him like "for real".

Had he'd done that, the 2ML couldn't really use it against him. Cause he could have said. "I TOLD your ass to leave long before this
happened and you refused."

I'm on 17 and Like all CDrama damn near, someone will have to be banging down Death's door before the other person stops being stubborn and admit they love the other person and are now willing to go through hell and high water for them.

Usually, it's the woman being stubborn and the man has to nearly die for her at break down. But this time, I'm thinking it's the man who will either be on the brink of death before he realizes doesn't want to lose her. Either that, or she risks her life to save him and he holds her in his arms and cries as he begs her to live so they can love each other finally. Who knows? I guess I'll find out. Hopefully in this ep.

Title A Dream within a Dream Spoiler
Because she is right and the script is still happening as planned, the male lead changed it at the cost of his…
Yes, now that she's accepted that fate can be changed, she's living her life as it goes. After the 3 stabbing attempt. Even though, no one died in the script during that time, because the show went on. So, I'm wondering if she still thinks they'll be a scene where he has to choose between her and her sister now? Does she still think her family will be slain? Even with the pardon?

I'm glad she's decided to just accept the life, because truth be told, she never had any choice to begin with. The writer would have set her on the path regardless of all of her attempts to sway. And once that path was set, it was up to the characters to follow it, her included. And the "Save the girl" plot armor that she has, she always seemed to forget about, and that's something she never took into consideration during all of her worrying.

I'm on ep. 12 of S2 and STILL waiting for them to kiss, say "I Love You", at the very least. Let alone have their special night of lovemaking. I don't even know if we'll get that. So, that is 44 eps and counting.

Title A Dream within a Dream Spoiler
Because she is right and the script is still happening as planned, the male lead changed it at the cost of his…
If she thinks the key points are going to happen, what's the point of trying to run away, then? The fact that he used the "save the girl" ability to save her, only proves the script isn't written in stone as I said. It's been changing the whole time.

For instance, in the script, at the end, both sisters are taken and leveraged. He could only save one and he chose to save the sister, leaving her to fall to her death.

Now, if that scenario happens again, he's not even married to the sister. He loves her, so even if he was, he wouldn't chose the sister. And even if he wanted to, he doesn't have the ability to NOT save the FL. Which means, by if some chance the sister is the other woman, she will die unless another man saves her.

Furthermore, her refusing to marry him would only stall the story, because where else can it go. The writer would be force to make her marry anyway.

Exactly! Just ask him about the kidnapper. Then he could say that he had him locked up and didn’t know how he…
Exactly. And she should see how that other prince tries to make her man look bad and I hate that she acts like she can't put her foot down when it comes to any man giving her a smile.

That's how she ended up sicken by that Westerner. The first time she met the 2nd prince, he showed conflict with her fiance. So why is she still so willing to be around him? Letting him lay his head on her lap.

She should be keeping her distance. She's be pissed if her man was spending time with Do Ha Seon who is the chick who made her sick.

The iconic scene (which is the worst part) indeed still happen on ep 32, NH loves her now and doesn't want to…
Yeah, I figured her obsession with the script, and her actions would lead to things happening. The fact that the writer can take over at any time should have just been her clue to enjoy the ride and live the adventure. If everyone is a character, then just play the part your way. No point in running from what is inevitable if the writer wanted it.

Her free will was only what the writer allowed.

Title A Dream within a Dream Spoiler
Well things sure seemed to being playing out according the script for the wedding scene. If Nan Heng hadn't known…
The script isn't set in stone. That's the point. Her sister and MIL aren't the evil women they were in the script. Heng isn't the villain he was in the script. He didn't fall in love and marry her sister. In the script, he didn't have an alter ego persona.

How does she even know that NOT marrying him could lead to her family dying? Like her sister asked her, how did she even know by banging the drum, that didn't lead to her family's execution.

Even the key points in the plot of the script didn't happen the exact way they happened in the
script.

So, she shouldn't be clinging to the script this damn hard as if everything is going exactly like the script. Nor does she even know when the writer will take over, so she should just let it play out and follow her heart.

I'm on EP. 32 by the way.
