If she had thought sooner about putting a hairpin to her throat to force dude to bring her and the kid sooner, could have avoided the battle in the alley.
And was I the only thinking. Go woman, take the prince to see the emperor, you don't have all day. They can't hold that gate for long.
I actually enjoyed her character. I understand her mindset of having to fight to prove herself to those who'd look down on her. I also like the tone of her voice. I love the concept of modern day royalty in Korea. They don't do too many like these. Like the Last Empress. I hope they do more.
I had a good time with this one. My only complaint was FL boring kisses. With so many kiss scenes, not one was romantic. Ruined that moment for me. But otherwise, I enjoyed it.
Edited to say clearly so many ppl have a problem with me not liking cold fish kisses. Whatever. 🙄
The only thing I don't like is the hidden identity trope. Lazy writing just to have silly hijinks. Once she finds out, it turns out to be no big deal and the only anger that arises comes from the lie/secret itself.
Like, how long is he planning on keep his identity a secret? After the kids go to collage?
He has an obsession with the FL and feels slighted by her blatant rejection. And the fact that she keeps telling him it's a fake marriage and all she wanted was the title, leads him to think he can scheme to become regent and then marry her to give her a title she wanted. He sees a window of hope if he can break them up fast enough.
I knew that contract was going to come back and bite them on the ass. FL is finally realizes this isn't all fun and games. She's been playing fast and loose this whole time. But that palace life is serious business. She brought chaos into his life with that contract that wasn't even guarded properly. She needs to take this marriage seriously. As much as he is.
The chick has no reason to talk to those 3 if they aren't willing to torture her. She can laugh at them all day because their threats are empty. Police stopped to get donuts before they decided to head out, I see. Took their sweet ass time.
And the president who got drugged. See, he's speaking my language. He's not looking for documents, he doesn't want an arrest or his attacker jailed. He wants that permanent solution. 😂 He's about that life.
He might be the world middleweight champ,, but he's rusty. Ep. 1 started strong. He needs to get that ruthlessness and intelligence he had when they were punching tires in S1 if he's going to survive this. Punches are supposed to be 1 hitter quitters and he's struggling with lvl 1 & 2 goons.
They have been so lax, they forgot what it's like to deal with vicious criminals. Even basic lesson 101, check if you're being followed. Not wanting "help" isn't an option.
I finally finished that one with a lot, lot, lot, lot, a boatload full of determination. It was hard to finish.
I know I called it 3 eps in. I was like this is one of those where they won't consummate the marriage until ep. 38. And I'll be damned! I was right on the mark! Pissed me off to have to wait that long.
Not to mention that one chick had the power to end Qin's rebellion if she had just killed the bastard when she had several chances.
She is pushing her husband away for one reason or another. If it isn't his status ,it's their parents past. If it isn't that, it's a royal decree. So many episodes with her in her feelings. I guess she's the Jade he's chasing. She won't talk to him, but gives him attitude. Ep. 32 may finally have a breakthrough.
He totally got what he deserved for lying to his wife for so long about who he was. Had she known he was the Marquis, she wouldn't have drugged him. She thought since he was a foot soldier only the "clean up crew" he wouldn't be missed during the battle.
Anyway, I love her so much. She's a badass sweetheart.
But I also understand why he feared telling her because here comes the old inferiority complex about her thinking she's not good enough because of his status. And blah blah blah.

She almost did fall for one of the oldest tricks in the book, though. Good thing hubby was looking out.
