At the end of Ep 5, the lead tells his new bartender boyfriend that he has had HIV since 2014. Now, the show is…
I am still working out the timeline, but I don´t agree that when he tells Gyo Ho about his HIV, it is 2024. I think the whole drama moves during around 10 years - beginning in the early university career and ending as a professional and around 10 years later. So when he tells Gyo ho, it has only been around 5-6 years since his contagion. Anyone else agree? PS haven´t read the book, which might be clearer.
Watching this finally after many years and understand how it is a classic. But I have a question re the ending:…
Why did Cheong get the heart issue again, and had to leave in ep 19? It was understood that once you find your love and are loved in return, you are able to stay and your heart will go on…
This is the first C-drama I completed, others I dropped for being of low quality (both scenographically, storywise and acting). I found the theme of death, parting and relations a key component of my liking a part from the passionate romance... The romantic relation was quite realistic in the sense that they had to deal with real complications: past trauma/mental health, deciding where to live/long distance relationships, generational prejudice etc. Plus they were both immature/inexperienced in love in general. Everyone critizises the FL for her ”wishy washiness” but the way things are talked out, explained and dealt with are actually quite healthy of them both. They went from being quite immature to open and sincere, loving and intimate, in a great way. The only thing tweaked to create drama was the late revealing of how long FL was going to stay in Shamghai. Yes, quite immature, but remember (which ML also remembers) that ML had already declared firmly that he would support her decisions and not stand in her way if she wants to pursue her career or go to Shanghai. It is also clearly shown that FL is going with the intention to create conditions to be able to return to Nanping - and ML also contributes to this with his actions. That way they actually only stay apart for 5 months. In their conversations they really helped eachother grow. Question: are CDramas always pushing values like this (signs on the houses, etc)? I found there were also many discussions on how modern youth are different from the earlier generations including the late alluding of brother being gay, women being able to have both Family and career, etc. All in all, I rated 9/10 for using the tropes right and really great kissing/love scenes and chemistry. Would love to see if someone agrees with me.
As someone pointed out - should he return, he also would have been killed under the falling wall in the - other…
I guess, but even though time passes while he is away, he always comes back to the exact same place (car accidents, etc). So I am going with the "logical explanation" - he could not stay and he could not go back but had to die - and at the same time, wait to be rescued himself... Still 9,5 on my list! Loved the whole premise of losing yourself in the modern world and that noone is completely evil - everyone has a redemption arc to find... :-)
When gwi ju pushed da hae out the window he definitely could've jump out as well
As someone pointed out - should he return, he also would have been killed under the falling wall in the - other - fire... so it seems he had no choice? He needed to stay - and die - but hoped a miracle would happen. And it did...
No hospital would let ES in Haein's room. Even if he showed them a fake marriage certificate or a document of…
I don´t know about Germany but in most European countries there are visiting hours for anybody to visit the paitent, unless they are in high security or ICU. And the nurses don´t keep track of all the family members.
It's not like they dint question him about the king before tying him up so the excuse that they wanted to know…
It says in the end. The Crown Prince´s son was sent in exile to Jeju Island and died alone there (which I think is also historically accurate). Most of the story is accurate, there is so much documented. Also that the King´s death certificate stated Malaria as cause of Death...
It's not stealing lmao That line is too iconic that you can see it almost in a drama every year. We saw two in…
No, not meaning in a bad way (if that were the case there would be many dramas in court, haha) - which two other dramas do you refer to, out of curiosity?
Haha, no I did not mean it in a derogatory way - thought it was very sweet, and it is an iconic line (only it is so much more moving in the movie imo)...
Has anyone else seen A Moment ot Remember with Son Ye Jin? AoS Part 2 clearly stole one of the most famous lines... "If you drink this we are married". In the movie it is "If you drink this we are dating"... (I might be late to the game here) but it is still moving...
